Hi fastlane forum,

my name is Stefan from Germany.

What I've done so far:
- read business books and participate in entrepreneur workshops
- read TFM & UNSCRIPTED and internalize the mindset
- study physics and obtain a PhD
- invest in slowlane stuff like stocks, ETFs, ...

What I am planning to do:
- open a fastlane on intellectual property (IP)
- open another fastlane on real estate (RE)

What I will do when I retire early:
- more skiing, motorbike and guitar
- even more reading

What is your opinion about my plans? I am grateful for comments.

I've also opened a poll on: 'What is your opinion on intellectual property and real estate?'
Take 5 seconds & vote! Thanks a lot!

Welcome.

I have two computational physicists working for me. What can you do to leverage your physics background to make money?

woohoo, another physicist. What was your field of study?

I think IP can be fastlane if done properly. Licensing an in demand technology certainly fulfills the CENTS commandments.

I guess they are both into dedicated software development since you are building a software company!? Unfortunately my computing skills are not outstanding but after all software definitely can be a fastlane.

To leverage the physics background my solution at this point would be intellectual property. Of course I'd love to discuss further suggestions :)

I did solid state physics in my bachelor and changed to medical imaging during my Master and PhD.

Hi Stefan,

If you are not a serial entrepreneur I'd stick with one (leveraging your physics background makes the most sense).

You can get into the real estate gig later down the line if you have the compulsion.

My experience says to start with you should put all your energies into focusing on one project. It is all too easy to get side tracked and lose momentum. Getting one business built, established and profitable is enough to be going on with on your first rodeo.
