So true. They go by the book for the most part in order to protect the company against wrongful dismissal and harassment lawsuits, but at the end of the day, the big boss will make the call and HR will abide.

from european point of view, it seems that america is "the culture of lawsuits" so to speak.
you can demand millions because your coffee was too hot at the local burger shop.
this is a real example, i don't invent anything
i like this kind of structured society.
i like things to be stuctured but in the right way.
