I did the same recently @andy. I was pleasantly surprised for the most part. I was expecting a lot of old rehashed sound bites.

50th law (Still on it,other books popped up).
Finished How to Win Friends and Influence People (10/10 seriously recommend)
I'm currently on Lord of the Flies (for school, but still a good book.Has nothing to do with business though.)
And the most recent book I finished was Ayn Rand's Anthem (Seriously 10/10 gave me chills down my spine.)
With that said I really need to read more.
I still have a few books left in my small library.

Pushed my reading list to the side so I could devour The Millionaire Fastlane . I'm back to my other reads now.

The Power Broker - A biography about Robert Moses. Moses was an idealist who at first only wanted to assist the lower classes in New York City, but by fighting the nature of governmental system, he changed as a person. He built an empire within New York State, developing massive public work systems, creating highways that crisscrossed the city, and moving thousands of apartment dwellers into slums to make way for his works.

The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass - An autobiography about Frederick Douglass, an escaped slave who became a vocal abolitionists. His writings on slavery helped fuel the abolitionist cause and drive the nation towards the Civil War. Am currently on his series of essays at the end.

The Martian - Astronaut is stranded on Mars. Must use his ingenuity to survive and make contact.

There's sooooooo many more books for me to read in my pile.

Finishing The Millionaire Fastlane , fantastic, one of the reasons for joining this forum obviously.
Mostly Harmless - Douglas Adams
and
The food of the Gods - H.G.Wells, are next. Also looking for a more business oriented book to read at the same time, gotta search around a bit more.

I'm about to start 'Overcoming Dyslexia' by Sharon Shaywitz. A couple of people have recommended it. I'm currently listening to 'Smart Cuts' by Shane Snow. I'll probably read it as well at some point, but I took a big break in my listening and picking up the thread of the book again was a bit difficult.

I'm currently reading Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion by Robert Caldini. It's a good start.

Thanks for the recommendation, I do actually have a copy of it on my kindle. So far I think I've cracked it open and read the intro. I went on a book buying spree and now have 26 business (& related) books queueing up. So many books and so little time! I've been using audio books to try and fit more in...

4 hour work week.

I remember reading the book nearly a decade ago with a very different mindset. Getting much more out of it now.

I seem to gain deeper insights on the second read. On the second run, instead of trying to take in all the information, you start listening for what matters to you.

Mindset by Carol Dweck

I pretty much put this book up there with TFM, everytime I feel like I have a bad reaction to something, I kept reminding myself signs of a fixed mindset.

Think and grow rich.

Im not enjoying it that much. It has too many spiritual references.

Do you guys like it?

Mindset by Carol Dweck

Great book. Read Mindset last month, which indirectly led me to the Fastlane book and ultimately this forum. Aspect of fixed vs. growth mindset really hit me.

Currently reading Pycho-cybernetics and delivering happiness.

Other's I've finished over the past couple months: How to win - mark cuban, how to win friends and influence people, moonwalking with Einstein, you are a badass, the dip

I liked it. Classic business book. Affirmations sort of help me but not really sure how it all fits into place yet.

I read Think and Grow Rich over 15 years ago and it really opened my eyes at the time. I picked up another copy a few weeks ago as I figured it was about time for a reread. I do recall that it had a lot of spiritual references but that didn't bother me, especially when you consider when it was written.

Reading The Charisma Myth by Olivia Cabane. Highly recommend to anyone, not just those who aren't naturally outgoing. I have found many ideas in the book to be invaluable.

Currently Reading :
48 Laws of Power- Have to say, definitely one of the absolute best books for interacting with people, especially in a corporate environment. Been using some of the principles on my boss (a.k.a sucking up) and have already been offered a promotion.

80/20 Sales and Marketing by Perry Marshall. An eye-opener of a book on optimizing your business's efficiency. Best part is, you only need to read 20% of the book to get 80% of the benefits! Second best part is, they annotate which 20% of the book you should read to reap said benefits :)
