I was thinking about it and I got curious as to how people here found this forum and/or this book.

I found it due to a review of The Millionaire Fastlane that Abdul (mohammedabshaun on YouTube) did, which I found from a video response to one of Abdul's videos by Moses McCormick (laoshu505000 on YouTube, a language-learning channel). I thought it was funny that MJ borrowed the term "Fastlane" from Kiyosaki (Rich Dad/Cashflow game), who was also pretty inspirational. Read RDPD some years ago; found it in my parents' bookcase, along with Think and Grow Rich, the Art of the Deal, The Intelligent Investor and some Suze Orman books.

I found it after I randomly googled something along the lines of "money excuses". The the link to the Millionaire Fastlane link appeared near the bottom of the first page and I clicked on it since I never heard of the book before.

I was looking for entrepreneurial forums on google when this popped up. I read a few posts but signed it off as a bunch of bologna and some gimmick to sell his book. Kept looking for forums and knowledge on opening my first business. But this site, and the posts I read, stuck in my head for about 8 months when I finally gave in and purchased the book and made a user name.

After reading, I saw how wrong I was, it's what truly inspired me enough to get out there and take a chance. To take action instead of sitting here thinking that I won't be that lucky to be a millionaire. Yes, I was a slowlaner both in mindset and physically. Now I'm still a slowlaner monetarily but my mind is set to the fastlane life style. I have to say...thank-you MJ for changing me. For inspiring me to shoot for my dreams with no regrets.

Looking for entrepreneur books on Amazon. It looked a teensy bit spammy but I saw all the 5 star reviews and thought "What the fries! I'll just try it". One of the best decisions of my life.

Saw one of MJ's videos on YouTube and I thought "Wow, this guy tells it like it is!" (It was the STFU video) Switched over to Amazon and downloaded the book to my Kindle and read it in two nights. Been trying to implement the "PROCESS" ever since. I have turned many people to TFM and all of them agree it is unlike any other book that they have read!

I buy books on amazon a lot. And i found it while looking for some good entrepreneur books. I was really turned off by the cover. my first reaction was "oh great another shit book looking to rip people off with a get rich scheme" then i looked at the reviews and then i read a few pages of the book. It spoke to me. I also saw that the book was pretty long which means that the author probably put some effort into it instead of trying to put together a 90 page book and see if money can be made.

I read the book and I was impressed. The writing is great(rare). The info was unique and new. I think its better than rich dad poor dad, every time i read that book it feels like it has a hidden agenda.

Mine was pretty simple. I got to wondering, since they have forums for everything. I was like I wonder if there are any forums for millionaires. So, I searched, and up popped The Millionaire Fastlane Forum. (think it was called something of that at the time) I then spent about a year lurking, before I joined. I just wish I had found it sooner!

I was searching for entrepreneurship books on amazon and this was other recommended books and after I googled it The Millionaire Fastlane lifestyle was born. I have since been recommending it to everyone I know with a similar mindset to mine.

I had to read Blue Ocean Strategy in college, which in my opinion is now outdated. I'm trying to get this book in the curriculum now.

Wow, thanks guys for letting me know how you "found" Fastlane. This really helps me!

The problem with Amazon is you're always shooting in the dark. There is NO WAY to uncover how sales are made. That means, I could sell 100 books from a video I did and have NO CLUE that the vid was responsible. Or this forum. Or some post. Or somewhere else.

It really sucks that authors have no idea how they are getting conversions that port to Amazon. ("it really sucks" -- can ya say, "need?")

Well I did it maybe backwards.

I found the forum, became a member, saw the thread where people posted after they read Fa$tlane Millionaire so I went and bought the book.

It was also Amazon for me... I had actually been deciding between two other books to buy for a couple months. When I finally made the decision to actually buy a book, I found MFL by searching Amazon (can't remember my search keywords, though) and ended up buying it instead of either of the first 2 I was considering. I have to say that the reviews were the main thing that sold me.

From an internet marketing forum, they shared it illegally. Then I bought it, then lost it, then bought it again, then lost it, then bought it again. Now it's on my desk so I never lose it.

MJ there is Affiliate link tracking software available on the market. The software or tracking service develops a unique link that then redirects to your amazon affiliate link, this way you can know which links people are clicking on that sends them to amazon. The problem is once on amazon you still do not know which convert into sales and which do not convert into sales.

This software is mainly used in the affiliate marketing space: it is used to test which links are converting traffic to the advertisers website, and it also cloaks through the redirection so that advertisers cannot track how you are sending them traffic, which prevents them from going directly to the source and placing those same PPC, PPV, Pop Up Ads, etc..

This is just another example why hitchhiking in the affiliate space is often a losing situation.

I was on RDPD four years ago (wow.. where have the last 4 years gone? lol).

Then one day I get a random PM over there from Runum, with a link to this site. Clicked it and never looked back.

I think there were only a few hundred members at that time.

The Millionaire Fastlane was recommended to me by Amazon based on my history of buying Entrepreneurship books. I thought it looked interesting (but scammy), so I put it on my wish list and never thought about it again - until I saw a random review somewhere online that said it was really good, so I decided to buy the book.

This forum is mentioned throughout the book, and I joined once I had gotten half-way through the book and knew that I loved it.

I came here in August of 2007 from the RDPD forums. I bought the book this past winter and realized that neither I nor RE Taipan had been here in a very long time and this forum had been the catalyst for us doing a complete re-make on our lives in 2009 and leaving the sidewalk behind for good, though MJ wasn't calling it the sidewalk back then, I think he just called it being selfish and not focusing on the needs of others, consuming and not producing.

My mum sent me Think and Grow Rich for my 30th Birthday

I really enjoyed reading the first half of it, and I gained allot from that. So I would recommend it if you are looking for motivation.

The second half when he starts rambling about the brain I just could not finish the book!! started boring me to tears!!

So, I started doing searches on the internet for books better than think and grow rich.

Somehow, in a thread somewhere on a forum, I read about people praising MJs book.

I did my own research and looked at some youtube reviews and I was sold. I bought the book on ebay.

When I got it I read it from start to finish. It was not boring. It made sense. It tought me allot!! Very well written.

In fact, I would go as far to say it is the best book I have ever read!

haha most of you say this forum, a book, or someone great like Steve Jobs. I found it through some guy who went to jail.

Don Lepre's World's Greatest Vitamin (sort of a start) - Watching his late night TV commercials gave me the motivation. Too bad he went to jail.

I found out about the book on the Escaping the 9 to 5 blog, specifically, this post.

After reading the post, I immediately went to Amazon and bought a copy for my Kindle. The book was everything that I hoped it would be!

In my case, someone on an SEO forum I frequent mentioned the book. He said "it changed his life" so I thought I should check it out and here I am.
