Hello everyone!
You may or may not know me, so let me quickly recap:
19yo male, grew up in Germany and had my window cleaning company but recently moved to Poland and closed it. I'm sufficient with google ads through my former business.
I recently opened up my new business and will be providing google ads to German local service businesses like my own former one, working from Poland.
Yesterday I finally finished up all the preparations and can finally start issuing invoices so today I'm starting.
My strategy is to search on google the service and then the place. For example: "Window cleaner Frankfurt" and then see which ads come up.
I'd say at least 50% of the ads suck. Most often they suck because their radius is set too far (no one's realistically getting a window cleaner that's 40km+ away).
And when people click on these ads regardless, they cost the company 3-4 € per click and then will find out that the company is too far away and leave.
I've been trying to explain that to them (among other things).
Today so far I've called 8 companies and kept track in an excel table.
One might call me back, another voiced very clear interest and I'll call him back when he returns from his vacation next week.
The rest wasn't interested, 2 didn't pick up.
Will continue with this later.
The nice thing about this is that I can basically brute force clients by just calling as many as I want/need to get enough clients. It's just kinda tiring after a while, but I can push through.
In the meantime, I'd like to try other ways of getting customers too. @Andy Black you said quite a few times that you positions yourself as a peer in facebook groups, where they'll then go on your profile and see you do google ads or get directly referred by other people "you should contact Andy Black".
When I search for German business FB groups it's usually just groups for self promotion or when it is a group where they do ask for advice, it's usually just legal/automation questions, but I haven't found a single question for google ads or even just general business discussion, like how to get leads.
I'll definitely continue my cold calling for now but I'm curious if any of you've got other ideas?
I guess I'll sooner or later also open a linkedin though I'm not really looking forward to that lol.
As for my pricing: I'm offering 1-2 weeks "for free" for 50€ to show them what I can do and afterwards we make an agreement.
The 50€ is just to seem more legit lol but also more importantly to weed out low quality businesses that would only take up on the offer because it's free but don't actually have any intention to pay and work long term with me.
Afterwards I'll probably charge 300-600€ per month.
The goal for the first month is at least 1000€ with my idealistic goal being 2000€.
This time I'm going to be 100% serious. No "I'm depressed" or take 4 months to finish my website and stuff like that.
Cheers!
