Hi all,
I’m working on a SaaS project in my spare time, aimed at construction equipment rental companies in Poland — businesses that rent out cranes, excavators, concrete pumps, etc.
The app lets dispatchers easily schedule jobs using a visual calendar, shows when machines or operators are unavailable (e.g., due to other jobs or vacations), sends automatic notifications to both operators and clients, and includes an operator panel for tracking assignments and updating statuses — so dispatchers can finally stop chasing updates by phone.
The idea came from watching a dispatcher at a friend’s company struggle with paper notes and constant phone calls, which often led to chaos and mistakes.
After lots of doubts and iterations, I finally launched an MVP. A Facebook ad brought me my first paying client — a company that now uses the app daily, with happy operators and a dispatcher who finally feels in control.
But… now I’m stuck.
I’m trying to find more paying customers but hitting a wall. The construction industry is slow to adopt new tools, and most owners tell me they "just use Excel" or an old, expensive desktop system. Even when they say they're not fully happy with their current setup, they rarely continue the conversation — usually saying they’re too busy or to "reach out later."
Here’s what I’ve been doing:
I know this market isn’t “sexy” like marketing tools or productivity apps — and it’s hard to get attention, especially in summer when construction companies are slammed with work. My first successful sale happened in winter, when there was more breathing room.
So here’s my question:
What am I doing wrong? How can I better reach and convert these companies — especially in a traditional, offline-heavy industry like construction?
Would really appreciate any advice from those who’ve sold to similar markets or built software for non-tech industries.
Thanks in advance!

Here’s what I’ve been doing:
- Cold messaging companies on Facebook and Messenger
- Posting in relevant Facebook groups
- Sending cold emails
- Updating my landing page (focused more on emotional pain points, added demo video, WhatsApp CTA)
- Considering adding a blog with educational content (e.g., why Excel and notebooks fall short)
I know this market isn’t “sexy” like marketing tools or productivity apps — and it’s hard to get attention, especially in summer when construction companies are slammed with work. My first successful sale happened in winter, when there was more breathing room.
