I probably get hated for this but well...
The more I use AI, the more cynical I get about the future of most online businesses (the ones that don't have a physical product behind them).
Unless you want to be another "personality," it's going to be really, really hard to build a successful online business.
AI gets better pretty much every month. It replaces more and more services and products people had to paid for.
For most use cases, graphic design is done (video design will soon follow). Content writing is done. Research is done. Any data analysis, done. SaaS, increasingly losing to AI as well.
A business selling any kind of information? I pretty much stopped reading blogs or anything with information. It's just incomparably better with ChatGPT.
Yes, there are exceptions but they mostly come down to being a personality or an extrovert (and people buying whatever from you just because they like you).
Basically, anything that used to be impersonal is now replaced by AI. In a world where you can only win by showing your humanness (having a personal brand), those who just want to have a regular business and live their lives are F*cked.
I love the simplicity of online businesses but it looks like with each month, more and more previously viable ideas are being obliterated.
I just can't get out of this mindset and if anything, it's getting even worse.
