Don't get me wrong, I like combustion engines as well. I exist on two ends of the spectrum here. On one hand I would enjoy a stick shift Jeep or a visceral M3. On the other, I want to go 0-60 in 3 seconds and have my car drive me around.

True. I’m beginning to even see IC cars smartening up and becoming self driven.

There is room for both in my life. I couldn't care less about the virtue signaling emissions argument. For F*cks sake, I'd fly a helicopter everywhere if I could afford to.

I just hate it when the EV people try to bring up emissions in a argument or conflict.

Those are the kind of people who would say if something wasn’t true, it wouldn’t be on the news.

It is fact that IC engines are more useful for long drives and towing and it is also fact that electric vehicles will handily outpreform IC within their range. An appreciation of electric and IC cars is not an ideology.

I recently actually saw a race car some company’s working on, it has both a IC and electric engine (don’t know if that’s even possible) but for acceleration, it uses the EV side, then for more power and speed, they switch to IC.

Overall, they each have their pros and cons. Spitting flames in a pure gas car, then the inertia force of the neck snapping 0-60 speeds of EV.

Check out the original "hypercars" from Porsche, McLaren and Ferrari. The Porsche 918, Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1. All use both types of engines, and were released about 10ish years ago so have since been far surpassed. Those 3 will go down in automotive history as something spectacular though.

A staggering number of cars these days use small battery systems and a small electric assist motor to help things along. Combining the two is actually an awesome way to do things.

Thought I'd create a random thoughts and chit-chat thread for anyone who'd like to post something, but it doesn't need it's own thread.

For example, I just learned today that an idea I had years ago for an airport valet service is now reality. Not only is it reality, but it is growing and grabbing funding.

The service is EXACTLY as I envisioned it would be.

That said, I might invest as they are taking accredited investor money.

I absolutely love seeing things happening in El Salvador and how Bukele is essentially showing the middle finger to the establishment. I don't use Twitter but I sometimes check his profile because his communication and social media marketing is top notch.

Media hates him because he's supposedly a dictator but then look at how successful and safe "democratic" countries in Latin America are and tell me what's better.

Nice write-up by a person from New York City who visited El Salvador. I'm not surprised at all that they felt much safer there than in the best areas of NYC.

Wow. Maybe the jury is still out on the off road capability. My truck has mechanical lockers so I'm used to having access to a good level of off road capability. I also use it frequently.

I wonder how icy that is. If it's pure ice a military tank would get stuck.

I am definitely all for going out there and doing wacky shit, like I do want to see some really innovative and badass looking vehicles come out in the future, due to the removal of the internal combustion constraints.

You can see they have very pronounced and retrofuturistic features, as opposed to the polygon that the cybertruck is.

That first image is actually a real car called the Hyundai Vision N75, and is a high power hybrid of hydrogen fuel cells and EV technology. It was recently greenlit by Hyundai.

Overall, really think the cybertruck looks ugly as shit compared to stuff like this.

Make it outlandish, but make it look cool.

Blue is mine. I am indeed working on a project. Got a lot pitches from “marketer” which has 100k of bots followers, claiming to do tweet for me and charge 50-300 dollar range.

That picture is a pure bot who doesn’t even comprehend my reply.

I also received dm from accounts claiming to single women from other countries.Textbook scam in the 90s.

Saw lots of funny dm for just being on Twitter for two weeks.
