I totally agree with you guys... AND it's very difficult to influence someone if we're judging them.

I personally believe this "eat the rich" mentality that seems to be getting more and more prevalent every day is incredibly toxic, but it comes from ignorance.

If someone truly believes that someone else is cheating, or the game is rigged, or they're a thief -- of course they are going to feel upset.

"here's a bad guy in front of me"

It's up to us to educate people. It sure as hell isn't easy, and it's only going to get harder especially with these characters in the media that constantly have a spotlight on them while they're trying to manipulate people to their cause... whether it's for votes or views...

But that's my 2 cents
Educating people is a waste of time. It's best to just let people think what they think and move on with your life. When it comes to topics like this, people tend to "zone out", and place themselves in a mindset that won't allow them to take stock in what they are being told. Even if it's the stone cold truth.
It's a coping mechanism. In their mind, the rich person is "up there", and they are down below. Therefore, they are going to believe whatever makes them comfortable with reality.
"He's rich, im broke, but at least I am ethical"
"He made a million dollars, but he took $100k from 10 people. Therefore I am better than him"
Getting through to them is basically making them acknowledge that they aren't who they think they are. Suicidal thoughts usually follow, which is why their minds fight so hard to believe the BS that will put them at ease

As both an educator and someone who has gone up against impervious mindsets, I'll both agree and disagree. You can influence how people think and what they believe. It's why cults, new political parties, new brands, and new scientific ideas can all come to be. But not every person will be convinced, and there is a certain art to leading them to new ideas.

With some people it may not be worth the effort. If both parties are defensive from the start, it's preordained that no progress will be made; there won't even be dialog.

But a good number of people can learn new things, including mindset. I dare say there are probably some in this forum who have done philosophical 180s. Thomas Sowell was at one time a socialist; now he is as much the opposite of a socialist as a person can be. People can discover new ways of thinking. And if you invoke the right experiences, lead people down the right paths of thought, you can get them thinking in new ways too.

If you confront their beliefs in an abrasive way, often they become defensive and the whole exercise is over.

It's not for everyone, for sure. And I agree there are people you'll never convince. But personally I don't think it's a waste of time. Each productive person adds to the total quality of life we all enjoy.

You're right. Some people are so strong-headed they will NEVER consider another belief other than their own...

I think the millionaire himself needs a set of balls... I want to be on this stupid show.

"Society is competitive" is not the right response to that question.
Why not contact them? I’m sure they would have you on.

It is unfortunate this is what society pushes. Rich people haters. Always demonizing the rich. I don’t want to get political, as it is not allowed. But when politicians push this a lot. “ The wealthy need to be taxed more!” Everyone cheers...

I completely agree with you. I just said that because he's only 25 and didn't start trading until he was 20. He also got into day trading during an amazing bull market (don't confuse brains with a bull market). And his answer to why he sells courses wasn't as good as yours. I haven't looked into if this guy is legit or not. But it seems highly suspicious.

Agree, I wasn't super keen on his reply and his 'about' page feels a little too marketing friendly (About - Steven Dux). Anyways, I liked his replies overall, seems like a genuine guy otherwise.

I don't think those folks were stupid or toxic, they are simply regular persons living regular lives. They are probably ignorant about entrepreneurship but it totally acceptable to ask someone who has gone through it, that doesnt mean they're demonizing him.

Stocks are not a zero sum game, unless you believe in seeing is believing. This is the magic of the stocks because they teach people exactly what is believing is seeing, that beliefs HAS to come before reality becomes reality.
