I overlooked that part but I am pretty sure he mentioned that in one of his videos. Although it was just a short segment.It seems weird to me that he doesn't start by explaining that business is about fulfilling a need/want, and that it's not about what YOU want.
I took it in a more positive way. Similar to what @MJ DeMarco said about cutting the headwinds from our life, and providing another 'medium' to meet like minded people, just like this forum (although I may be wrong, cause I havent joined the discord, and probably never will)How can replacing friends be his second tip? Oh, so you join his free Discord server that has 30,000 other like-minded (lost?) people also trying to start a business. Call me cynical but this smacks of him isolating you from your current friends and family and joining in his community where you'll be shown the true way.
