I now want to read something in psychology - please advise
It's a classic for a reason: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
Emotional Intelligence by David Goleman (I'm about a third of the way through it).

Is there a specific area in the field that interests you?

Some books are very concentrated, MJ's in particular, requires multiple passes through. In fact what I usually do is I do audio version first.... at the end, if I think it's a good one, I do audio again, then buy the book. And go again and again....

The most interesting part (for me) is to try to relate to things the author say, as it would be an answer for a question I had. MJ's books gave me alot of that over the years... that's why I go again and again

The Art of war by San zu
The First emperor of China
Influences and manipulation
Escape the rat race

San zu is really important because it's a way to get a strategy and tactics. Somehow, the art of making money is a kind of war itself...

'Your Money or your Life - Vicki Robin'. Apparently this book started the FIRE movement or something? TFL makes more sense, which is what I got from reading this book

This book is amazing.

Emphasises acuteness of mind.

Presence of mind at the moment.

Clarity of thought and reality.

Rationality.

Backs it up with history.

A very solid book that changed the way I'll now view email marketing. I'm now completely restructuring my own email sequence based on the tips from this book.

At the moment I am reading:

Unraveling the Fediverse: A Journey into Decentralized Social Networking - Morgan Lee. Unfortunately it is written very poorly. It seems it is written with the help of some generative AI, but I am trying to hang in there.

The Millionaire Fastlane - MJ DeMarco :) Actually I am listening to the audiobook. I hope this counts.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship - Peter Drucker. The best book about entrepreneurship in general. Even though it was written in the 1980s, it has stood the test of time. In the last part of the book, Drucker develops in interesting system where to find business opportunities.

Great one for anyone who’s been at it a few years and feels a little beat down.
This one has been on my list for a while now, thanks for the reminder!

I'm curious, what have your big takeaways from the book been?
