Over the past week or so, I’ve been steadily pushing forward, even when conditions were far from ideal.
Most of my time has gone into tightening the foundation of my iOS app. A lot of UI and flow work, rebuilding key parts until they finally feel cohesive instead of stitched together. There was plenty of build → break → rebuild. At first it felt inefficient, but with AI coding tools, rapid iteration is something we can afford, and it’s proving to be really helpful.
On the technical side, I experimented with 3D rendering for pill and capsule visuals, improved logging and detail views, and debugged some tricky edge cases. Not every experiment shipped, but each one clarified what actually matters.
I also demoed the app with my vibe coding peers for the first time, which felt like a meaningful execution milestone. I got approved for the Apple Developer Program and locked in a much clearer plan for launch.
Outside of code, there was a lot of life happening. Family-heavy days, kids’ birthday parties, holidays, house cleaning, and even an unexpected household issue that consumed an entire day. What surprised me was realizing I don’t need long, uninterrupted blocks of time to make progress. Some days momentum came from five-minute bursts, working from the car, or even sending prompts while doing dishes. Progress didn’t stop just because time was fragmented.
As part of the launch plan, I also locked in a content direction tied to my background in pharmacy and my frustration with inefficiencies in healthcare. I confronted some fears around job security and risk, and instead of slowing me down, that reflection sharpened my focus. Strengthening both my day job and the product at the same time feels like the right strategy for now.
I’m moving forward consistently. The work feels real, the direction is clearer, and I’m making good progress.
