Hi,
I'm interested in modernizing a kitchen appliance by making it look pretty (a display piece in the kitchen) and potentially some internet connectivity. I'm working on some renderings but before I take this further I want to validate I'm building something somebody will actually buy.
I need specific advice on who I should talk to/interview to know I'm building the right thing, what they do and don't care about, and tell me what I should change to make them buy it. I live in the pacific northwest part of USA and want to know who can I interview/talk to about creating a new kitchen appliance. I feel randomly going up to people in the street and doing a survey won't get the data I'm after.
I've identified early adopters to be those with taste for modern sleek design, likely those in the middle class and above who typically purchase more luxury items. How do I snipe these people, approach them and make them spend time with me? Further, can anybody give me any good upcoming trade-show-esque opportunities (hesitant to say trade show as I don't have a product yet), online communities and people who might have great feedback?
Thanks
edit: want to change the post title but can't. is it possible now?
