David, I just finished listening to Independence Day and Finding True Freedom (Quit Your Job) and I just wanted to say thank you. This episode was able to provide hope and motivation. That it is possible to change your life and that you don't have to be in the same place that you're currently in. It's nice to hear from somebody who has financial success/freedom that you were once in our shoes who are just starting. It's easy to forget that success people started from the beginning too.

Everyone has the chance to change their life.

for a whole new high fidelity experience! This is our first show with professional recording equipment in the Mind Your Business Radio Show studio in Tampa, Florida!
Hey Dave,
The last 2 episodes sounded a bit muffled, like a song uploaded to Youtube in 240p.
The ones before...crystal clear.
Could be something wrong on my end tho.

I was playing around with AM Radio mode (equalization). Interesting. Thanks for the feedback!

I will post the links later to today but the show we released this morning is going to generate at least one adversarial phone call or worse. :)

By the way I have to fix our Spotify feed so it might be another day or so before the show is live on Spotify.

Thanks! We made a few digital modifications and abandoned the AM RADIO mode.

Spreaker should be back by this afternoon.

The WeWork show was the beginning of me starting to take the gloves off against some of the egregious shit happening right now in the VC and IPO world. This is also why you need to careful in investing in pre-ipo non-publicly traded companies.

I am glad you went after Adam Newman. He is a quintessential billionaire communist that does things that are NOT win-win or mutually benefical to the people he works with.

He lived the Gordon Gecko life, a life of scorched earth tactics, doing nothing legitimately that he could possibly do illigitimately. Then he harangues, from high, the evils of capitalism, a system he was never actually engaged in.

Thankfully his reputation has pretty much barred him from future ventures. This is literally a socialist giving capitalism a bad name.

As far as sound is concerned... I am starting to think less is more when it comes to EQ. When I saw that AM radio setting I was like "I bet that sounds legit," but was disappointed by it.

Until very recently I bass boosted my stuff just a little, but through my Mercedes' bassy sound system it was too much and it seemed to make super minor plosives a lot worse.

I think I'm going to abandon EQ adjustments all together. If I want to sound different I will get a different mic.

Coming up Saturday August 8th on Mind Your Business :

College is the not right choice for everyone. It wasn't for Bill Gates, who dropped out of college with Paul Allen to launch Microsoft. It wasn't for Karl Rove, who was the Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush. College wasn't the right path for Rush Limbaugh, Tyra Banks, or Simon Cowell. It wasn't the right place for Richard Branson, Henry Ford, or Ray Crock (the founder of McDonalds), together with thousands of others who changed the world with no college degree. College may not be the right place... for you. This episode profiles fifty careers that don't require a four year college degree. It's packed with insights on job descriptions, salary data and tips on jump starting each career path. It's not exhaustive, but intentionally short so that you can listen quickly, get some ideas, and start planning the direction YOU want to go in. It was recorded for the high school student in search of ideas on alternatives to college (and college debt). It was recorded for the nearly 50% of enrolled college freshman nationwide that drop out before they ever earn a diploma. It was created for the experienced job seeker in need of some encouragement and a new perspective on the job market It was made for you, as you pursue life, liberty and happiness. College is not for everyone.

Been super crazy busy for the last few weeks, and I decided to only put out content when I had something to share.

My wife called me this morning and told me to record a show on how to know when to call it quits as an entrepreneur. And since she's usually right, I recorded the show.

The end of this is kind of clunky (indicating I was somewhat out of practice) but I let it fly anyway. I could have cleaned it up ala @Kak but I figure my haters tuned out a long time ago anyway.

Hopefully the feed picks back up on the platforms we were using for syndication. For now, I know you can get it at the link above on Spreaker.

I did refer to @MJ DeMarco a few times on this episode, talking about the desert of desertion and the basic CENTS framework.

Needed this today as I've had a tough one.

I'm helping people, I'm growing.

Just need to grind it out.

Thanks Vig.

There's a great formula for knowing when to quit in Unscripted , in the back half of the book. Not sure which chapter, but it has to do with messaging, reach, channel.

I've been away from the forum for a few months but was so happy to see these new podcasts coming out of here with Vig and Kak.

I'd just reached the end of the current stuff I was listening to so this has been a godsend for my x 2 75 hard workouts. Really enjoyable! Probably the most I have enjoyed listening and definitely the most excited I've been to find out about new podcasts. Keep em coming!

Great show, a question from the audience if I may...

How many impressions do you think would be good to make a judgement that people don't want or need the product/service?

Would 1,000 impressions be enough? 10,000? 100,000??

My latest product has been rejected multiple times (door knocking & samples sent out) Although this is on a very small sample size, (I got a single sale, so at least someone wanted to buy it) :praise:

Not sure what chapter MJ is referring to, skimmed through...err I'll try a bit harder again :humph:

Edit ***** Found the page MJ is talking about, 324 in Unscripted , I'll write out what he said to my question in the book.

''Check the sample size and ensure it's large enough to warrant conclusions about it's data. I'd recommend at least 10,000 impressions and/or 1,000 clicks.''

I wonder how long it would take me to call 10,000 people in my neighborhood

Glad you found that, because I honestly didn't know how to answer. :) But very thankful you are listening.
