As someone who literally just escaped the reality in that video (worked in nyc at investment banks for 4+ years), this is painfully familiar.

Quit the job two months ago and am working on building out my web design / digital media business at the moment thanks to you MJ.

I’ve been recommending your books and forum to anyone I speak with that’s interesting in entrepreneurship.

Great video and would also like to see a video of a blue collar worker. Back pain and general soreness is a major reason why I am getting out of the scripted life.

Pretty good! High-quality, the quiet emotional voices speaking to me are eerily effective.
Looks pretty cost efficient too!

You can try to make a few videos.
Many movies release multiple trailers of varying styles.

This video looks into the cubicle-dweller's desire for freedom and 'something more in life'.

Depending on who you want to market it to, here are other avenue you can look into:
- overworked folks who have no time to spend with their family, and end up in a divorce or an adultery mix
- workers placed into danger by tough work they cannot control
- students loaded with degrees, low employment or shitty employment

These days, not everyone works in a cubicle anymore, but well, so does the SCRIPT.

Great trailer - but would like to see more in terms of dealing with others in an organization, same water cooler time wasters. This is only himself, in a cubicle, as if there was no one else in the organization. Also, there's so much time spent on the sub. Most would be jacking up the ears with pods and listening to something. No coffee? Cmon man... the real pain is when you're doing the same thing in the office, more than the commute.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. I was living this life till a few years back. It was a mind numbing phase where my income was at its peak but so was my misery.

Wish I had come across your work then but as you say better late than never. Will always be grateful. [emoji106]

Best,

Thank you, much appreciated.

but would like to see more in terms of dealing with others in an organization

This is a 1 minute trailer, not a 5 minute vignette.

The reason why there is no one else in the clip is because what the man is going through is very personal and introspective. It is an inner battle he is fighting alone and no one can help him fight it.

While he's apart of a larger organization, he clearly feels cordoned off from his soul, isolated and in total despair.

Yup, that's exactly most of us here.

I got chills! This is awesome.

Did you commission this or did some fans of Unscripted make it on their own?

Excellent video!

Music, imagery and emotion is tricky to try to portray what is difficult to describe in words.

Most powerful emotions happens beneath discursive thought that has strong association with words. Thats why some of the best scenes are not words at all.

Hey guys, My partners and I are the creators of the unscripted book trailer.

We are three 23 year olds who own and operate a media company that offers video production and paid distribution through social media. Taking a turn key approach.

We fully employ us 3 and scale out contract work as needed as we systematize our customer acquisition process. We have a dedicated office location. Sales would be our next hire. We began business 8 months ago after dropping out of our respective schools/jobs and never looked back. It is stepping stone while we develop the cash flow to invest into more proprietary ventures. Living unscripted is the only way.

I’ve followed MJs teachings for about 2 years now and have had nothing but positive results.

If you have any questions regarding the trailer, media business, film in general, and literally ANYTHING you’re wondering about please feel free to ask.

I also answer any and all direct messages on Instagram if you want to check out some our our content on Instagram @VentureAddicts

That's awesome video. Hits very close to home for me. I currently work at an investment bank as an software engineer. Also have taken that slow old school MTA 6 train. There are some aspects that I feel that are missing. Like the people that push and step on your feet and just walk away like nothing, how crowded it gets during rush hours. The zombie like facial expressions people have. Still working my escape out the scripted life.

I'm sure I missed a lot that could add. It's crazy you say that because I reside in Houston but while we were walking the streets/subways of New York shooting this video all you could see was the people you described. Non-stop physical contact and you would swear they wouldn't even feel it because it was so normal. I hope you escape soon!

It resonates with me because the video pretty much describes my life in Chicago had I succumbed to the Scripted formula. But the idea of it (even back then) was so scary, I fought tooth-and-nail not to become a part of that. It is why I held a bunch of mindless jobs while pursuing entrepreneurship.

It hit me at that second alarm clock scene, that damn sound, ugh.

@VentureAddicts Really great job on this one!

I would love to see an Unscripted video series. So many different walks of life that show the slowlane/sidewalk. Hell you could even have videos showing professional athlete and celebrity types who still reside on the slowlane.

This will do:

Yup that hits the mark.

Needs more cycle of days, repetition, seasons, meetings, a feeling of demand for his time from something else (a matrix).

Appreciate it very much!

are you seeing the series as a collection of episodes with actors depitcting slowlane situations or a docuseries documenting real life stories of people getting out of the slowlane? hmmmmm
