Mj stated that scalping tickets for the fastlane meet up was frowned upon. Why is that? Why is scalping illegal? Just seems like another hustle to me. Thoughts? Thanks.

How is it different then buying something off of Craigslist and flipping it?

He’s preventing you from hypothetically buying two tickets @ $399 each, with no intention of attending the summit, and selling them weeks before the event for much more than you initially paid.

I get that. But, how is that any different than buying a lawn mower for $30 during the winter. Having no intentions of using it and selling it during the summer for $100?

It boils down to your own personal values.

It would appear MJ does not want that type of behavior occurring at his private event.

I wouldn’t want anyone profiteering off an event I am hosting for, what is essentially, the greater good.

Maybe. I shouldn't have used mj as an example. I just don't see any difference between scalping and flipping.

Scalping is akin to a “pump and dump” more so than arbitrage.
