Honestly, it's embarrassing.

For example, I'd include pictures on my website and it took me forever to figure-out how to modify them. As in, the pixel size. I couldn't understand why some were larger than others.

And I still can't figure-out why my text is so condensed in mobile...

I also don't know ANYTHING about the "back end". For example, are the things I'm doing (picture size, for one) slowing my load times? Is it OK to be on a shared server?

My problems are basic. Luckily there's a YouTube video on most of my topics, but it typically requires me watching a 30 second ad, then watching a 10 minute video for something that really could have been 30 seconds. But beggars can't be choosers.

I'm not worried - just takes time.

And on sleep, I go to bed early, mostly because I'm much more creative and awake in the morning. In the evenings I'm beat. The best I can do is some accounting or something mundane.

I get headaches too when trying to write sales copy for technology I never learned in school. Or health products with Holy Grail ingredients.

And when swipe files fail me...:clench:

Here's a suggestion:

When writing copy (especially sales letters) the best thing to do is find pieces of copy whos "skeleton" could be used for what you're writing. Then, you can simply switch the words of the piece, for whatever it is you're writing.

This is darn hard to explain with just words, so here's an example...

Let's say you're writing for virtual reality glasses and more specifically, a book on what people should know before investing in them. I have ZERO idea about them, so this is going to be fun...

You search long and hard, and come upon this beauty by Gary Bencivenga:

http://swiped.co/file/do-you-make-these-mistakes-in-job-interviews-by-gary-bencivenga/

You like it...

...and decide to use it.

Read the headline and the 3 first paragraphs. What I will do know, is tweak them for virtual reality glasses:

Will you make these mistakes when choosing virtual reality glasses?

Do you know why you should never use price when choosing your glasses?

If you're a man, do you know the one type of video you should never watch more than 60 minutes at a time? (and no, it's not porn)

If you're a woman, do you know the 3 deadly sins that can cripple the battery of your glasses in a week?

.
.
.

And there you go. Just pick a piece of copy that's good (stay away from most things you read online, and search for old school guys like Halbert, Carlton, Schwartz, Bencivenga, Suarez etc) and substitute the words. Much simpler than having to create everything from scratch.

I already gotten swiped.com as part of my resources before.

It is a good resource, and a wealth of copywriting case studies.

However, I want to transition from there to creating original copy for my clients (or my biz). That would take more research, brainstorming and constant studying of various industries to know what's what. It is a matter of leaving the milk for solid food lol.

I remember coming across this post a while back. Well now I’m in the desert of desertion.

I’ve been working on launching a brand for 8 months now. My products are ready to ship tomorrow from China to warehouse in USA. The photographer has his samples and will photo shoot this weekend. Website is ready just waiting for photos.

Email campaign is set up. Website retargeting is ready. At the moment I’m creating Facebook ads and then will do google ads. I’ll everything ready to go for product launch.

Progress is being made but there are doubts in my mind. I have a current business which is losing money hence why I’m trying to pivot into this new niche. I’ve got debts from a previous business which I’m personally liable for which I’m getting chased about daily.

I’ve not paid a business tax bill so I can pay for stock. On paper I’m over $200,000 in debt with personal bankruptcy a real possibility.

What little I’m earning is going towards family life with my wife paying for the majority of things. I don’t have any spare money for myself which I’m not used to.

Every day is Groundhog Day. I see the same faces on the school run each morning. Every day I wake up wishing I lived in a sunnier climate.

My new brand is the vehicle for my freedom. To give me the choice of how to spend my time. But the doubts inside me say but what if it doesn’t work? I’d probably have to get a job. I’ve never worked for anyone in my life (I’m 38) and it goes against everything I stand for. I’d despise every second of it.

I just want to get to my goal of selling 20 products a day at $20 profit each. Validation. I don’t talk to my wife about what progress I’m making. She’s heard enough over the years of false promises regarding finances. This brand has to do talking itself but I’m fed up of waiting. Fed up of seeing people driving expensive cars or going on vacations etc. Fed up of doing the same thing day in day out.

I really hope it works out for you man.

To anyone else that reads this thread, maybe this will help you make your decision. Being in debt can make you feel this way. Personally, I'd rather work at Burger King than be in debt. Before you make the decision to go in to debt, think about your family if you have one or are about to have one within the next 10 years. I'm nervous for him and I don't even know him. I can guarantee you that while I am out in the garage tonight this is what I will be thinking about and sending positive thoughts his way and hopefully he will be able to dig his way out of this hole. So if you are about to go in to debt..... think about it.....

there are doubts in my mind.

I would challenge you to change your mindset on this. So what if it does work? Or even better - You are going to make it work!

You are in control. You can win.

I’d probably have to get a job

It's not like that is the end of the world. A job doesn't stop your business goals. In some cases it's just what a business needs. An influx of outside cash.
