I have finally found an idea that works with my skills and history, I am combining things that exist but am directing it into a market that is underserved.
I am building it as a subscription based service.
I have a lot of work to do with the design and making formulas work.
Without counting the research that has to be done.
Right now I just hit a wall with what I was looking for. I am not too worried because I will regroup and try again, the basic google searches that I have used before for similar issues have not worked, but that just means that I have to be more imaginative. I also have a cousin that has worked for years in the specific field that I need more information, so I know that I will get my answers eventually.
I know that I am still months away from my first sale, and sometimes it feels like I want to spend all the free time that I have working on it, but yet sometimes have trouble getting down to actually do the work.
The mountain of work in front of me is encouraging, since it definitely means that I am following the command of entry.
But at the same time, sometimes I am discouraged. I know that this is not going to be a race but a marathon.
I know that sometimes rest is important not to burn myself out as I am also working full time in a really draining job, yet feel guilty every time that I do.
When I read the book, I underestimated how much of an effect that the desert would have. I got my idea in august, and played with it in my mind for a while before setting on the path to creation.
It is now November and there is still so much work that has to be done.
Getting started was actually really hard because there was so much work that I did not know where to start. Then just jumped in and started, even if most of the early work that I did is now going to be notes to guide me and will not show up in the final product.
Hoping to find an oasis in this desert to boost my spirits, and while my motivation to the final goal is still strong, I do sometimes have trouble with the day to day motivation.
Hope you are all doing well and for those stuck with me in the desert.
Let's keep doing the small actions every day, and eventually we will get there.
P.S. was at my sisters and explaining what I was doing, the next time I called my 10 year old nephew wanted to show me his graph and ideas for my business, he made up all the number in his head, but it was so cute. with such an ally on my side, how can I fail!
