This is pretty cool. I'm going to join if you guys don't mind :)

This is what I'll start tracking. Some things might change week to week depending on what I'm focusing on or what I need to improve on.

I'll also post my gym sets and how I'm performing. I'd write how my nights go but I don't think it's allowed so I'll just keep those to myself :)

I'll post the completed version on Sunday.

My mentor preaches business owner execution is crucial to success, maybe the most important factor to winning.

I am nowhere near as efficient as I think I am and I'm going to dedicate myself to tracking weekly KPI's and updating here with my sheet once per week.

Last week I was able to increase my hours spent on business to 12.5h, but my other stats suffered. This week my goal is to maintain or beat 12.5h of business work and also hit the following:

Out of bed between 6 and 7
3h reading
5h exercise
full week nofap
30m meditation
plan 5/7 days

Alright, here's my metrics for the last week, and a few past days before that I mentioned in an earlier post here that I was off to a wasted time in my hometown break with parents.

@458 mentioned earlier on having some goals to beat, so for each metric, here are some:

-cook at least THREE times a week
-Take supplements TWO times a day
-sleep at least 6 hrs a night
-one email/sales copy breakdown
-at least one hr A DAY on studying for college
-at least one hr A DAY on college projects
-Read up to THREE educational emails a day (not including email copywriting ones from Settle or AWAI)
-walk more than 1000 steps
-go to gym at least 2 times a week

Other metrics like Upwork sales/ follow-ups and networking will have to wait for a bit for their goal-setting, as according to the week's report, even the fundamental goals above aren't well met yet.

I did have a few repeat clients, but nothing really special about the rates or jobs to speak of...

Here's the goals I didn't meet perfectly...
  1. go to gym at least 2 times a week
  2. one email/sales copy breakdown
  3. sleep at least 6 hrs a night

I've noticed that on the days I overslept (in the morning or evening), I tend to try to make up for the lost time by working late into the night, only to F*ck up my sleep time and most probably oversleep too the next day, or not wake up immediately to the alarm.

That means there are many days where I did get the 6 hours of sleep, but I slept into the PRODUCTIVE hours of the morning...

I'm still working on college assignments due in the coming week, so I'd expect the regularity in my habits and activities to remain out of whack for some time.

I was shocked to hear from my group assignment peers that YOU COULD UNDERLOAD units for college, i.e. take 2 units instead of a full 4.

That means I would have less to study, less assignments, and more time available from the get-go!

Of course you would take longer to graduate, but you only pay for whatever units you take, and the extra time you've got on your hands can be used for work. Work on an internship, Fastlane, or improve the grades to be much better.

This feels like a much better alternative to simply dropping out of university, and burning bridges with my parents. I should have done this earlier, but somehow the intro sessions never introduced this to me. Probably they don't want us students to take this as the 'easy way out' haha.

EDIT:Also found my laptop slowing down, and lagging like hell.

In such delays, I've found myself more likely to go take a nap, oversleep, and look at my phone and waste time.

I just got a hard drive and have tried to shift data from my laptop, so that it can breathe easier.
Speed improved, but still lags at times.

Might need to check Windows cleanup again, or hit the subreddit for tech issues.

EDIT 2: Shit...I just spotted my Bible reading also stalled. I did some preliminary readings, but that was just that.

Only got to have a few rounds of prayer journaling, and I tried WRITING vs TYPING.
Somehow I managed to get more out when typing, but I also found more issues with my practices in writing a daily prayer journal.

Those who are reading, and want to know about these, PM me, as I don't wanna toe the forum rules redline by posting it here and derail. But it's a very similar paradigm with Fastlane learning, reflection and communication.

In my week I could reduce my porn use by one (great :D) and the "talking to pretty women" part doesn't look bad either.

The most important habit (preparation for the interview) was mixed this week. On the one hand I've worked only 3 days on it.
On the other hand I worked in total more than 4 hours on the preparation. This is good but it could be more effectively if I'd divided the work into several days.

What can I do to improve next weeks results?
  • review habits every evening and analyzing it
  • work daily with my week plan
  • working and applying "proactivity habit" by 7 habits of highly effective people (highly recommended)
  • working and applying models by mark manson (recommended)

Welcome @YoungPadawan, I imagine weight loss really hard because it demands behavior changes in a lot of areas but I am sure if you track your habits consistently you will improve eventually.

@FastNAwesome I hope for you that you will come back next week as you promised me in the pm. (I'll answer later)

Alright, covering the last week's metrics from 14-20 October:

GOALS
-cook at least THREE times a week-
NOT MET

-Take supplements TWO times a day- MET, except for 1 day

-sleep at least 6 hrs a night- MET, but sleeping hours still ate into the more productive hours of the morning, I'm somehow still working too late into the night

-one email/sales copy breakdown- NOT MET, fell to pieces

-at least one hr A DAY on studying for college-NOT MET

-at least one hr A DAY on college projects-MET, but more on this later

-Read up to THREE educational emails a day (not including email copywriting ones from Settle or AWAI)- MET

-walk more than 1000 steps- MET

-go to gym at least 2 times a week- NOT MET

Now, here's what happened with my college assignments (I mentioned in my last post that I was expecting a fallout)

It was an investment analyst report, and I was supposed to take a stock, use various models to predict a higher/shorter price at X date to support a long/short position for investors.

Very simple actually, but because of biasesness in my initial approach, as well as underestimating the actual scope of research needed, I had to blow through Thursday night to Friday morning, skipping much sleep to meet the 6pm deadline on Friday.

Very stupid use of my time.

I just got note I have another Commercial Banking quiz the coming Friday, plus several deadline for a group presentation and Forecasting report.

The last, I have already provided provisions for.
The first two are tough cookies. We'll see about Monday to Wednesday, as to how I can break them up into manageable chunks.

On the other hand, I went to Chick-Fil-A executive talks at a church, invited by a men's group.
I went on Monday and Tuesday evening.

Good to learn a bit of their operative principles, but those sessions ate into hours I was supposed to use for doing stuff, especially for copywriting practice. Oh, you give and take, I guess.

The same was true of Saturday-morning was another talk on 'living in uncertainty' by the man's group again. It was good to follow up on a few guys there who have began to see me as a regular of sorts (forgot to update the follow-up metric for that number of pax)

I noticed that my Bible reading and prayer are not spread out as it was in the last few weeks.
Especially the former.

After keeping time on my Bible reading, somehow the qualitative part of it becomes interesting.

I've began to notice a change in my Bible reading approach.

Not only do I have to worry about just taking time off to read it, but also to understand the context in the Holy Writ.

Example:

-Past references to the Old Testament
-Recurring prophecies of similar themes
-understanding your Greek and Hebrew
-relating back to personal experience and needs

So I've found that it takes more than a toilet or lunch break to sit down, read and truly comprehend, as if I really want the most out of my devotionals, I'd have to do a shit ton of research and reflection- probably at least half-hour of concentration.

If I spread them out too wide, my concentration could be scattered.

EDIT: As for eating homecooked, I just looked at my budget and recording spendings, and I found out eating out has pretty much cut my budget to pieces.

It's not so much of a problem of cheap shopping for food, as it is with timing.

If I get really engrossed with work (or oversleep) around 5-7pm, I would be less likely to cook.

So I had to travel a whole lot rectently, which is also why I missed the last report. Basically I didn't get anything done, I'm trying to get back on track now, hopefully renewed (although I feel like I need a vacation from the vacation) and with fresh approaches and ideas, or not whatever. Hopefully also another opportunity to get more serious about certain shit, like controlling my mind and ego the whole day and not getting mad about things in the past.
Hey @bornoim I took a minute to check your last posts in this thread and I think you never posted any results of tracking, right?

Even when your week was bad I'm convinced that the tracking itself is an important habit which leads to self-reflection about what you wanna do and what you did do.

So start tracking with some specific habits on a list and post it.

Will do, thank you! Wanted to track stuff for a while now, as i too believe it would make me more consistent. I think this week I'll finally take the time to set it up (I've caught a cold anyway, and don't have much energy for my main project). God knows the whole travelling around has been a waste of time.

bad week and I'm getting more and more annoyed that I have such a bad self control that I can't even reach the simple goals I set myself.

I'm starting now with a daily proactivity analysis. This should help me to finally increase my self control and my results over the longterm.

I don't know if anybody read my posts from last month but just a little update for those who did. - I prepared for a scholarship last month and this week I got the conformation :D. This means monthly income for only a bit of work until the end of my study *__*.

What can I improve next week?
  • daily analysis of proactivity -> increase in discipline
  • weekly plan is not an recommendation - it is my obligation

@FastNAwesome - time to shine my boy :star:

Okay, I've been lurking for some time, trying to take notes of my sleep habits and some other things but I can't stay on tracks!

- I'm trying to wake up earlier in the morning. I work from home, and I start my shift at 9am... I managed to go to bed earlier, but I can't get up from bed. I'm just so sleepy all the time! My goal is to sleep from 11pm to 7am, more or less. Today I'm going to try putting my phone far from my bed and my reach and let's see if it works.

- Project column is empty and will stay like that for a while, since for me it will be more like a journey.

- Work out: I'm still looking for a course that I like... I tried one gym but it was too crowded, so I'm going to look for another one.

- I'm on a diet! Gluten, dairy, nichel free - tailored-made by a nutritionist. I am only allowed to weight myself on her scale, so the weight column will be updated once every two weeks. Next appointment is on 12/10!

- I'll start reading again from today!

Can't say I've worked effectively the past week, I will finish my website the next few days and I'm already somewhere else with my mind. I'll have to combat that with tighter time constraints
A huge improvement so far is that my plans and time estimates actually work out, even though I can't say that I like the fact that I've now spent another two weeks and more on my webproject..

@Intax
What's the matter bro, did you have a bad week?

Time to jump in!

I've started building good habits a few weeks ago, it's going good and more accountability should help.

Habits:

1. Get up before 5 AM, Sleep before 9 PM. Every Single Day
2. Do 10-20 min Yoga every day
3. Do 10 meditation every day
4. One Meal A Day (from today onwards).

I will do my best to update every Monday.

Will send my applications the next few days. Not much time at the moment, I experimented with more freetime in between work as rewards, but it didn't work out well, so I revert that.

@Intax
If you're too lazy to make a comprehensive post, why not simply write that instead of waiting until next week (in case you're posting next week).
If you feel your performance suffices and you don't need accountability anymore, that's of course another matter. But I doubt that's the case, or is it?

Update for the week:

1. Get up before 5 AM. Check

After 28 days I can really feel that my body has adjusted to 5 am as the wake up hour. Friday evening I lost track of time and ended up in bed at nearly 12PM. I didnt set my alarm since I was so goddamn tired I decided to sleep in. Woke at 5 AM sharp wide awake. :D

2. Do 10-20 min Yoga every day Check
3. Do 10 meditation every day Check
4. One Meal A Day Fail x 100

I'm going to back to the drawing board for the OMAD habit. I failed sooo hard :(

Update for 9/12 (Mon) to 15/12 (Sun)

GOALS
-cook at least THREE times a week- MET, r/mealprep executed well

-Take supplements TWO times a day- MET

-sleep at least 6 hrs a night- MET, but still sleeping late...but somehow managed to get my a$$ for gym and other errands.

Also I noticed I dozed off and overslept on Monday on 4pm, as well as Sunday (woke at 2pm)...gah!

-one email/sales copy breakdown- MET

-walk more than 1000 steps- MET, except Tuesday

-go to gym at least 2 times a week- MET, mostly swimming though

-Prayer journal/ Bible reading or sharing 5 times in the week
->
NOT MET...only on Thurs and Sat

I'm considering lowering my goal to 3 times a week. Probably 5 times was a bridge too far.

Online course progress
-mostly focused on Lex's course- finished his Dirty Copywriting course.
Lots of good things to say about it...I should have spent more time with his Difficult Clients course though, as that is more relevant to my current state.

I noticed I didn't track time for that, but I mostly worried about finishing up the video modules.

Upwork gigs
-Should beat myself for not locking on a single client proposal or call that week, even though I can easily do so.

-I forgot to record the hours I put to draft up some lists and paperwork for client management and interviews...I don't want to half-a$$ them as I used to, on a whim.

Christmas week is coming, so I'll have to use this week now to do what I can, before the family time and celebrations cut in.

Not sure if clients still work on Christmas...

Working on creating long term goals and vision recently .. right, and processes, algorithms to make smarter decisions. Will probably send out further applications in the next days.
In the hopes of becoming more energetic, I'll try cold showers, intermittent fasting and nofap. In fact I'm alraedy into nofap for over two weeks without any relapse and barely any urges, which would have been impossible for me a few weeks ago. Not sure why it's so easy all of a sudden. Perhaps I just have become better at negotiating, appeasing and manipulating my primal brain, I value inner integrity more, can control my thoughts better through meditation and lead an overall more disciplined life. But whatever, I still suck badly in many areas.

So I wish everybody a good new year.

I'm in exam preparation time and therefore I'm only focused on university currently.
I want to keep my weekly plan which includes preparation for four subjects. I'm studying with a friend and therefore it will be easier.

I hope everybody had a good start into the new year :star:

MET- although I've picked up more Bible reading and journal because of family and personal issues. I'm looking more into Psalm and Proverbs currently. I'm thinking that although more of this is welcome, it eats into my work-time. I am currently working on splitting my study and readings across the day.

Online course progress
-Finished up Lex's Difficult Clients course-very good and practical not just for client management, but positioning and processes documentation as well

Upwork gigs
None...still wrapping up on some family and personal issues.
Although the worst of them has passed, I never know how drained it could leave me.
The Fastlane 3Fs- 'Family', sure is important.

Learning Mandarin/Cantonese- Study one speech a week
I'm utterly disappointed at my zero progress here...
I think that maybe even studying ONE SPEECH is too big a task- having such an elephant to eat really intimidated me into not starting at all.

I'll switch things up, and make it a REGULAR practice to at least listen to one Chinese video-can be news, movies...anything. The application part such as reading and writing...I'll track it but I won't have a solid benchmark to beat yet for that...

It's already tuesday but better late than never.
Currently I am very productive. I met my weekly plan except for two things. Sadly one of them was a priority and I didn't focus on it enough.

Next week is pretty full and I have still two exams left. Currently I also prepare some things for my travel to the summit - if anyone lives close to Scottsdale or San Francisco, just write me a private message.

@bornoim - my answer will take some time :)

In a man's meetup I attended recently, we discussed 'Priorities'.
Picked up some nuggets.

Apparently, Warren Buffet or some top guys just have a small 3-5 pointer list to-dos that MUST be done every day, to be considered 'mission accomplished'.

They do have other stuff for the day to do of course, but they are kept on a secondary list.

Me thinks that I should trim my current habits on track to just 3-5, and the others be relegated to a secondary list of priorities.

I'd expect to start shifting my habits tracker format by the coming week.

@Chx How are you doing? Seemed to me things were going well for you.

Thanks for calling me out @bornoim. To be honest, things are going quite well for me at the moment -- but I have a nasty tendency to abandon formative habits (like tracking) when I have a lot of momentum going. I'll get back on track.

Specifically -- have you seen your habits improve because of the tracking, or because of something else?
Yes, they do improve. You can keep a better eye on how consistent you are.
You can also noticed quickly if something is wrong- and what might have disrupted your consistent flow of habits.

As to the what, I would suggest keeping a separate diary to mark down what may have been hitting your habits performance (e.g. in my case it was gaps in my freelancing project management and some family issues). And outline maybe 2-3 initial steps on how to deal with these abnormalities, if they could come back up again.

It's important to note that you can keep up very well with any habit, as long:
- You keep your body healthy (with good diet, rest and exercise)
-You keep your mind healthy (you read or create something useful everyday)
-You keep your socials healthy (network with good people, care for your family, etc.)
-You keep your spirituals healthy

One might say that each of them could be a habit by itself.
So I guess success in certain habits may rely on your earlier progress in other related habits.

I believe James Altucher talked on that before- he noticed most of his failures came about when one of these vital sectors was bad.
