I thought this intro would stir the pot a bit. I was born and lived most of my life in Charlotte, NC. I attended and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill during the Dean Smith and Michael Jordan era. I've been in the real estate field my entire career since 1982 and seen 3 significant real estate recessions and booms. Fortunately, I survived 2 of them without a scratch but got caught up in the last one with significant damage (but lived for another day!). I love technology and particular how I can learn and share my knowledge (good and bad) with this group. I truly believe you get out of something what you put into it so I hope not to be a "lurcher" sucking the life and wisdom from the group without contributing my fair share of stories or experiences with the group. I have started 3 successful real estate companies involving appraising, development, commercial and residential construction and brokerage of investment properties. I've been involved in thousands of transactions totaling more than $6.7 billion and still learning something every single day. Glad I found this forum and hope to be an active member and contributor.
