This post snuck under the radar. Thanks for sharing. I know from experience that making sure your image takes up the most screen real estate possible (by using the correct aspect ratio) is a very easy way to increase click through. For us it was Pinterest. Switching from a square photo to a tall photo gives you about a 1/3rd more screen real estate for free.

Has anyone used Adobe Spark Post for this? It's fn awesome. I can make one image, export to all social image sizes. It automatically resizes and aligns the text to fit. Saves a ton of time in Photoshop.

A note to those using Photoshop. It's a good idea to design at 2x the original size and downscale afterwards to retain superior quality.

You can save for web and easily re-size by going to File > Export > Save For Web (Legacy)

A dialog box will open where you can save the image at a new size. This is where you can put the original size in.
