a blog takes 15 seconds to set up

not the route i'm going for

the people who launch their blogs in 15 seconds are the same people who complain it's impossible to get traffic to their blog :)

Yeah, plus it maybe takes a few seconds just to install wordpress, but not actually build something people want to see.

For those wondering, Bill filled one of his offices with his cash. If he doesn't launch that cash is going to be doled out to people in this thread. If he does do it... the money will just sit there while more cash collects on top.

what do you guys think of the 2 on the right side: Logo design by infernal kiss | 99designs

Not the top one, but the 2 on the right below that.

Debating having these as the logo, or possibly taking off the "FJ" from the top and just using the other part as the logo. Thoughts?

I like the logo with green and black, but the green hue from the bottom logo. I like the top FJ as well.

I think you got this the wrong way, of course I don't think you're going that route! Wanted to be funny, but hey, can't work each time ;)

I like the mid-right logo btw, the one with white background, black text and green $$ and FJ! Prefer those clean and contrasted styles.

Snow ~ I really think you could put any old POS logo up there , and if you build it they will come. As I'm still developing my mindset, I don't know much. But I have learned over the past year, that you only need 1 thing to start a business ~ A paying customer! I know the blog is more of a Passion than a money maker for you, but I think the idea still applies, as you already well know! For those who don't - you dont need a website, a logo, or a domain name to start a business, nope all you need is a paying customer, that sees the value in the product or service you can provide them!
I do like your logo btw, any of them are cool. I might go with your earlier comment though, "possibly taking off the "FJ" from the top and just using the other part as the logo"

Thanks

Snowbank, not sure if you notice but just a heads up. The FJ really looks similar to the logo for FootJoy (FootJoy #1 Shoe and Glove in Golf), the golf shoe company. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the logo.

thanks. yes, seems like there are a few companies with an FJ like this in their logo.

Looking forward to read your blog. :) I started my own entrepreneur / internet marketing blog (Profitapolis.com) back in 2008, and felt that I actually learned more by sharing with others. All the comments I had on there got lost in a db crash last year tho..and some post images are still missing. :(

If you're interested, I would love to exhange guest posting with each other on any topic, or do an interview of you on my blog.

Black box/ text and I'd like to see the green from the top at least as an option..it might be to strong, but there's something about it that I like.

it's to bad there's nothing tied to "C" or better stated an inverse "C".... the FJ leaves a nice inverse "C" in the white space... don't know how or even if that should be tied in but that's what I saw in it.

I think the box can stand alone...or with... you could use them as stand alone logos depending on the item/ place you were using them.

The box/ text is strong enough alone though.

I've signed up for the first post... :)

looking forward to it.

update: Still a lot of work to get done if I'm going to be able to launch it on time. It will be close.

As of now I will pay $13,000(+ beers for Forest) if I don't make it happen

Hell of a motivator.

I'm in.

P.S. this could be a pretty unique way to get press even if you don't launched in time. Win/Win. A SUCCESSFUL entrepreneur giving 13k to strangers because he set a deadline / had a failure. I'm sure some major blogs would eat that up in an interview / blog post.
