Small town - tech knowledge - from slow lane to fast lane

Hi all
I’m servicenow developer / platform admin in Brazil for many years for big companies. I read fastlane book and was very impacted by the mindset shown by MJ DeMarco. I’m in the slow lane trying to climb corporative stairs, I've learned from my parents and school to study a lot get degree, MBA, master degree etc…

Now, after finish the book I’m trying to look for ways to help local business and sell tech services. My thought I live in a small town and here people are elder and do not use much internet because of that small business do not have much apetite to systems or site, much part people live for hole life here and know each other.

Even so, I want to try something here. I'll use expand entrepeneur vision and learn to sell.
This week I meet with business owner to discover his pain and try to help for free, defend how technology can help improve management and increase sales.

• I appreciate any advice and taught in this area even if you haven't IT background?
• What do you loook for in a partner to hire tech guy for assistance in you business?

If you were to start your business from scratch, how would you approach prospecting? Given that you don't cold call. And you don't know many people in the business world to "spend your money on diesel and coffee" with. And you've already reached out to your friends and family and done some work for them.

I've been trying to gather up and arrange my thoughts. It's a bit messy but I'll keep coming back to add to this.
