Hello guys,

Recently I feel like my city needs a good real estate website to standardize trading. People here still trade properties through individual brokers.
So, I want to create a real estate website to help people sell and buy property but there are already beautiful websites from larger cities.

Now the real questions are:
  1. Should I still go for it?
  2. How can my website succeed?
  3. Where should I start?
PS: This is my first solo project so any suggestions or advice is really appreciated.

Surely you should go for it if you think you can do better and if you've a good plan to execute.
Don't forget to keep in mind the CENTS rule.
C - Control (can you control your business?)
E - Entry (can everyone do it or is it easy to enter in it?)
N - Need (is it really needed?)
T - Time (is your business separated from your personal time?; you don't always have to look after it)
S - Scale (is it scalable?)

TAM (Total Addressable Market) - the total market demand for a product or service.

Who is your customer? Who do you need to use it and what is your breakeven point? Have you talked to the brokers in your city? Do they want a website and are they willing to use it in their deals? Are they willing to pay for your services one way or another? How are you going to monetize it, using what type of structure, and at what rates? Can you sell ads to supplement your income stream? You are in this to make money, aren't you?
