Inspired by the likes of Snowbank, Brian Hastings, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and humbled by the epic crash and burn of Isildur1 I've decided to take my shot at poker supremacy.
Now, don't get me wrong. I have no illusions of consistantly beating the dozen or so super pros out there (PA, Durrrr, etc). My goal, is to make as much profit as possible, and as easily as possible by exploiting the many fish in the game. I will then use this money (hopefully $1M-$2M+) to invest in other assets, turning poker into a hobby once more. However I will continue to stake other players into games.
I'm looking to hit the poker world by storm, and get out (professionaly) by age 25. (giving me about 7 years.. I don't think I could handle the variance beyond that point)
My first poker goal: Make a $10,000 bankroll (to play 5/10 limit hold'em online as a primary source of income) by the end of August 2010.
How I will accomplish this;
-Study every facet of the game (and every form of poker)
-Reduce personal variance by staking other players
-Stts, Cash, Mtts
-Review and discuss hand histories
-Hire poker coaches for the levels that I am playing
-Most important of all, put in the hours at the table! (online)
For this first goal, I will stick to Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit Hold'em
I have a $60 bankroll, a goal, a plan, and the desire to succeed.
I will keep you posted on my progress (such as big tournament cashes, or when I move up a level).
Right now, I will play 100 $2 Double or Nothing Stts (Single Table Tournaments). If I post a profit (after 24 games I have an ROI of 6%...terrible, but it's a small sample size
) I will either play $5 Double or Nothing Stts, or .10/.20 9-seater Limit Hold'em cash games.
