"Lion Inside"
You beat me to it lol this is a great kids book I regularly read it to my two sons, it's my favourite. Also have The "squirrels who squabbled" by the same author, featuring 'spontaneous Cyril' and 'plan ahead Bruce' lol

By the way, I don't know about you guys, but I like to use Goodreads to keep track of my books. I messed around with a few different book tracking apps for the ones I read my boy and the best one (for iPhone users) is BookBuddy

"Oh, the places you'll go." Dr. Suess

Talks about slowlaners and sidewalkers. How to avoid being like them. Teaches to take risk and it's ok to be scared of taking risk.

This thread rocks!!! My baby girl was born 15 days ago and this weighs heavily on my mind.

Want to teach her critical thinking as early as I possibly can. I figure now is not too early to start!

My favorite tends to be whatever book I’m reading them at the time....but if I were to narrow it down:
The Lorax and Where the Wild Things Are. I want them to keep and use their imaginations as long as they possibly can.

Another one I've got is ' Odd Dog Out' by Rob Biddulph, " A funny, heart-warming and poignant story about the power of being yourself and blazing your own trail".

Also 'For every child a better world' with Elmo is a great one to teach your child about being grateful
