I am a researcher by nature. I research everything to death before jumping in, to make sure I am making the best decision. This goes for everything from buying stuff like cameras, vitamins, computers, software, etc....
So here I am trying to find my fastlane business. I know it will be internet based. So I read tons of threads on this site, and search the web learning terminology needed for becoming a cash producing website owner.
It is all very overwhelming.... and for me, confusing, because until I actually sit down and do it myself, or better yet "with someone who actually understands the science of how it all works together," I feel like I am shooting in the dark.
I really want to set this up myself because I do not want to give up control by hiring a website company to do it... plus I will never learn anything that way!
Is there a VERY current website that I could use as a really good guide?? I have not found one. Or, are their people who are willing to "teach" you the ropes (for a fee or barter of sorts), so you have a higher chance of being a success right out of the gates??
I have already wasted hundreds of dollars thinking I could jump in and set up a cash-flowing website on my own, with a "I'll learn from my mistakes" attitude.... its just really hard to do that when you don't even understand what your mistakes are!
Thoughts?? Direction??
