While the memes are funny around this I don't expect anything to actually change.

These guys made 5 Billion so far and have kept 20% of that - they aren't going to quit that easy.

They just got some heat from a few different things and are pretending to be tightening things up.

I would bet in 2-3 months it's still the same thing making around just as much or more.

Nothing will change, worst case scenario the content creators will move to another platform and take their audience with them.

The commandment of control doesn’t apply to the content creators, Onlyfans founders still own the cash machine and can start their own crypto and cash out without problems, all this story emerged because they are trying to raise money.

I guarantee you that some simps will build websites for free for those girls just so they can get back to buying nudes.

BIG opportunity for someone to move into that space.

Very interesting to see them doing this. Maybe they've ran the numbers on a "premium instagram" type service for "genuine" content creators? Hard to imagine they'd cut off their nose to spite their face.

Also interesting they did not adopt a "crypto" payment mechanism. Would have been a prime opportunity to develop some sort of processing system to handle it.

For those using OF as a source of income, simping won't go away. Feminine beauty is highly valued and that demand will eventually find its way somewhere else.

A wily entrepreneur would create a "crypto-only" OnlyFans equivalent, probably using that NFT hype train as a means to give creators the opportunity to sell their nudes via the blockchain. Getting mass adoption for that would make the creator a multi-billionaire.

Update It looks like Internet pornographers Andrew + Tristan Tate have been doing just that - https://www.thecoingirls.com

To make the above successful, they need to get 100's of unique girls onto it. The guys at StasyQ would be a great collab. I'll explain why that's important below.

Nothing will change, the content creator girls will just find another sidewalk to show off their tatas
Whilst true, this depends.

The big deal with OnlyFans is it reached critical mass.

In the world of the web, it's vital that a company achieve adoption quickly & at scale - this cements its brand/offering as the defacto for that particular thing.

Once a company achieves this, and they execute properly, it's very difficult to dislodge them; Google, Amazon, Facebook, YouTube, Paypal still hold the lions' share of their markets despite entrenched competition.

The big "secret" with web is "new". The web's true value lies in the "long tail", which is access to hitherto undiscovered sources of value/entertainment/information/functionality.

Each time a web service explodes, it does so off the back of achieving adoption for the specific "new" thing it was built to deliver. Paypal's "email payments" is a good example; Visa, Mastercard, Worldpay etc all had the opportunity to do this, but only Paypal is trusted to deliver it.

The value of OnlyFans came as a quasi-CRM for attractive women who found a following on social media - "subscribe to my OnlyFans" was a way to funnel beta orbiters into a central place where they could drool over "explicit" photos/videos for a fee. Its basically an email marketing system for eThots.

In order for a competing service to achieve the same resonance, it needs to bring in a new wave of "content creators" who had not been discovered before. I don't know how this would look, but it needs to be a system that its users have a vested interest in; a "community" of sorts.

The coin girls thing above is not it, as it's too much of a business. It may achieve initial success, but longevity comes from its users spreading the word on the platform's behalf - which is exactly what happened with OF.

The "fastlane", especially online, is the result of exponentiality - people recommending your product/service on your behalf. Every "unicorn" became successful because of the incentive it provided its users to promote said platform - "Add me on Facebook", "Paypal me the money", "Google it", "We're listed on Amazon", "Subscribe to my OnlyFans".

I would surmise that, either, a system built around providing specific companies/agencies the opportunity to further monetize their following (such as with StasyQ or SuicideGirls), or some "uber agency" type service, whereby "creators" are provided with specific guidance/platform to help monetize their following, would likely come from it.

From my scant experience selling NextDoorNikki pictures, one thing I noticed is that a lot of the higher earning "models" tend to congregate in small groups. NDN was part of this thing PhilFlash and there are a myriad of other such "agencies". A system focused on high end/professional membership would likely be focused on that.

Huge help for crypto.

Quite unbelievable the attitudes big established companies have been increasingly showing towards other businesses. Basically: if we, who control almost all of a given market, don't feel absolutely comfortable with what you're using our service for, for whatever reason that pops into our head, we'll just summarily shut it off, putting you and those who rely on you out of business immediately. Oh and also you have no recourse.

First they came for OnlyFans, etc.

BIG opportunity for someone to move into that space.
There are dozens of alternatives or similar services out there, many created by big names in the industry. AVN has AVN Stars, LiveJasmin has BimBim, the Centro folks have FanCentro, and there are already established sites like Loyalfans, IsMyGirl(& Guy), MYM, Frisk, JustForFans, Fansly, man I could keep going.

The only real opportunity is from established porn websites because they have payment processing down & thousands of models at the ready.

Also interesting they did not adopt a "crypto" payment mechanism. Would have been a prime opportunity to develop some sort of processing system to handle it.
Because doing anything with crypto is a huge pain in the a$$. Do we really expect both a buyer and selling to jump through multiple hoops for pussy pics and the GFE/BFE?

Every "unicorn" became successful because of the incentive it provided its users to promote said platform - "Add me on Facebook", "Paypal me the money", "Google it", "We're listed on Amazon", "Subscribe to my OnlyFans".
That's exactly how they ended up in their current predicament. They got so big that all eyes were on them.

That’s not quite right . There are laws against facilitating transactions that fund terrorism, slavery, trafficking etc. visa and MasterCard looked at the risk vs reward and decided it’s outside of their risk appetite.
Payment processors that use crypto are not immune from these laws

I've been building a platform in this industry since May. Site is almost done but needs the implementation of P2P messaging and payment system. I'm looking for someone who has blockchain Dev experience. I'm a full stack dev with a focus on the front-end and design so if you have back end skills it's better. Msg me if interested. Goes without saying I'm not looking for scammers or weird tricks. I'm 100% serious and my project looks thousand times better than all the ones I've seen linked here. Those guys are in the market but with a shitty project which looks like some guru's clickfunnels page. Anyone who's read "Blue ocean strategy" knows what I'm talking about. All these "businessmen" trying to enter the market with a copy of a copy. That's not gonna cut it. They are not really skewing value or offering something done better, or with better UI/UX. They are copying something, and copying it bad.

The hardest part tbh. What's your plan here? Some sort of USD/EURO front-end powered by crypto on the backend?

Everyone keeps saying how a crypto-powered subscription site will change the game...but when it takes 45 minutes for a first time user to learn where to go to set up a wallet, convert their dinero, and this has to go for both parties involved...well, they forget that the people on these sites are trying to rub one out, not become crypto experts.

Are you already in the adult industry? Do you have connections that can serve as ambassadors for your platform? Are you a part of any communities like Xbiz? Do you have the means to compete with the big dawgs? Or are you another of those "businessmen" trying to enter the market with a copy of a copy?

I ask because if you're serious about it, you should reach out when it's close to being completed. Before Aug 19 I was sending 100-200 models per day to sites like these. After the announcement, it's between 1800-2000 per day.

Meanwhile, my OF course enrollments dropped off a cliff haha. Good time for a "How to Escape OF Course." I'd do it this week if I had time.

Recycle that course for AVN or any other platform.

If you can get the migration course on something like Gumroad, I'll promote it. The last time I checked becomng a Udemy affiliate was a PITA.

If I can steal time I will. My OF course was just picking up steam. Best ratings on Udemy, and was pulling a couple hundred extra per month on autopilot.

Udemy wouldn't let me be an affiliate either, lol...

Personally, I think they should've stuck with it.

Looks even worse to flip flop like this.

The site already had a shit reputation in how they manage the business side of things.

To me, this is just the beast showing its true face - how unreliable and unstable they are.

Good publicity, but this will affect creator decisions going forward.

This is also another reason why crypto is the future
People keep saying this, but I don’t see how that makes sense
You really think a mass amount of “fans” will go through thr troublr of buying crypto just to stay a patron to a girl? That’s not logical IMO
