Hi everyone. Glad to be part of this community. I'm from Vancouver, Canada and I'm here because I'm hoping to find some guidelines on how to approach entrepreneurship, as I'm literally just starting out, and it's like walking through a dark forest with a map but no compass... I've read MJ's The Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted .
So I've decided to start an education platform for a niche market, but since it could take much longer for me to learn all the technical skills myself. I think it would be better off outsourcing it. I've done some research on this, and it looks like even with a team, it could take up to at least 3 programmers to work on this, and that could still take months.
One of the things that's been leaving me in the dark is:
How concerned should I be about someone taking my "blueprint"? Since there's a lot of outsourcing, that means they'll have to know the details of how I want things right? I know in TMF and Unscripted, MJ did mention to expect competitors, but at the same time entrepreneurs don't give out their bread and butter so easily yes? So I'm thinking maybe there might be at least some legal procedures I can have properly done to protect myself to a good degree? Not sure if a simple non-disclosure agreement would help?
I know MJ might not like these type of questions, and I have tried searching the forum to see if there's any answers but no luck. Please forgive me if my question here doesn't make sense. Appreciate any help or feedback provided. Thank you.
