Hello. I am new to the board and this is my first post. I have always had an entrepeneral spirit from the time I was 20 years old and has tried my hand at many ventures especially multilevel marketing companies in the 90's. Everytime I go back working for a company my wheels turn at how at the hell I can get the hell out of there and do something for myself.
Fast forward: I am at a place where I would like to have my own business again- the difference this time is that it's not an established company that is looking for sales people independently, but I actually have an idea of a product.
This product is of the beauty industry. It is a protype of something that already exists but not yet invented. It will generate more than likely millions of dollars because other models are currently generating millions of dollars. I know if this idea is created and goes forth it is a winner. It is the thing that consumers are looking for because they are always coming up with new protypes every year.
My issue is I don't want to have anything to do with manufacturing or selling or marketing. I only want to have the patent to it and receive royalties. Is that possible? Also how do I get investors? More than likely the manufacturing would be in China because that is where the other models are made anyhow When it comes to global - how does that work? Does it make patenting a product that much more harder? I just need to create the prototype but have no idea how to create it, but I knowThe idea is HOTTTTT.
