Here's a quote from a podcast I heard last year. I don't recall the podcast, but maybe someone else on the forum does. The interviewer asked MJ for his favorite quote. MJ said his favorite quote was his own:

"Many people want to change their lives, but they're not willing to change their choices, and ultimately this changes nothing."

I'd like to hear of success that came to any of you because you changed your choices.

Yes. I met someone that told me they did not need their job anymore. I asked him how he did it and he told me through apartment investments. I then asked him how I could do this. His response to me each time I asked this was "Just go do it".

I made a choice at this point to take a risk. My house was already maxed out for loans but there was someone out there willing to loan more. A third mortgage and creative financing bought me a four-plex.

The following choices were easier.

Choice is what we have. I agree with MJ.

Yup, still my favorite. Your choices are the HANDS on the steering wheel of life.

Imagine off-roading through a rocky canyon with your hands OFF the steering wheel ... when you deny your power of choice, you're rolling through the canyon and letting the rocky roads of life to throw you around, and most likely, into a canyon wall or off a cliff.

Maybe I am getting my interviews mixed up. Anyway they are all worth a listen.
