Hey All,
Wanted to share this idea that I had a little bit of traction with. And maybe someone who has tested it or wants to look into it with me could share some insight.
The idea: Single Topic Information Websites
The opportunity: Most people are creating brands, creating websites for a single product, or blogs where they focus on trying to write lots of articles in order to "rank high." But taking the effort and expense to create multiple single topic information websites could be valuable, and we're not talking about competing in a "coffee" niche or "high end yachts" or "how to build a wooden table." These are specific websites that share information to solve a single problem, or discuss a single trending product. While this really isn't a new idea, I think most people won't do this because the potential income is too small, but if you scale it to multiple products and websites, and have a good traffic generation system, you could resell them.
Revenue model is advertising and affiliate sales.
I am sure anyone in internet marketing has already thought of this, but the reason why this idea came up is because it is one of the few methods I found where I get legitimate organic traffic without having to overshare ideas on social media. And this method gets straight to the core of why people buy things without having to "pitch" them.
Even though there are already saturated websites on every topic, again, other websites are focused on increasing their "rankings" with dozens of blog posts using the same targeted keywords over and over. But instead of trying spam methods to game the search engines, you are only creating a few very helpful pages and keeping ads sitting around.
The only problem is "speeding up" the increase of traffic or finding enough time to hit as many niches as possible. I estimate the ramp-up time for each website is about 45 days (without any fancy marketing tactics) just using good ol keyword planners and a bit of research.
To make a solid website with all the right plugins and analytics and information takes between 4-8 hours depending on how much content you want to solve.
