Mods, I know there is another thread on this very topic, but I couldn't find it.

Could someone please post a link to it, and we'll join them?

Thanks!

Some businesses make more money in down times.

During the bank run, I joked that owning a safe building company was a good business (sales of safes were 300-700% above average, as people took cash out of banks).

Here's another great recession/depression business:

In all seriousness though, is this the thread you're thinking about- http://www.thefastlanetomillions.co...cussion/17187-recession-proof-businesses.html

Here's one of the ideas from MJ-

Consignment stores, Goodwill stores, thrift stores ... all do better in hard times.

It doesn't appear too many here are using an Iphone to know much about their apps, but there are people making $800 a day selling .99 cent Iphone apps.

In tough times, people will still indulge a little, they need to.

Earth... yes that is specific
It's not so much an indulgence as it is a cost analysis. Most people see .99$ and think, It's not even a buck But I guarantee you the Mid-line apps (30$-50$) have a different base and fall a bit more in the "do I really need that game/program?" area. As movies go they really have to be worth it as economics go down. Hollywood's biggest problem is out of the hundreds considered only about 50 make it to the box office per year. Of that 50, 5 might be cash cows and (for lack of a better description) the rest suck. Statistically G/PG movies far out perform R virtually every time but what seems to be made more?

Yeah, the best way for sure to make some money is take survey's for pennies!

Take 100 of them, get paid $5...invest that in a savings account for 10 years and you will have....$10!

That is so fastlane indeed!!! :coco:
