Hi everyone, I'm Brian. I'm a bum who lives at his dad's house writing salty comments on the internet all day. I'm so intellectually superior that no one understands me. I've never started a business nor am I capable of doing so, but I think about it better than people who actually do it.

The fact that you took the time to comment that shows me your not that successful. You think highly successful people will stay on a thread that they don’t like? No they move on and accomplish their dreams. Keep talking though I’d love to see you reveal yourself even more

@Brian Suh you seemed to have written something pointless and misleading for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of people. What’s more is you’ve succeeded famously.

Ever considered a career in journalism?

Risk taking is a habit best learned young. It is very hard to make statistical correlations between age and success, however, huge all in balls to wall risks will rarely be taken advantage of and capitalized on by individuals over 35 unless they were taking even bigger and stupider risks when they were younger.

Why?

Because time puts the fear of God in ya and when your 35 and all you know is get a check, spend a check, it is terrifying to think about walking away from whatever imaginary person you've built yourself up to be.

When your 18, your no one and nothing and you couldn't care less what anyone thinks. You're going to risk it all because you've got nothing to prove, nothing to lose, and no one to feed.

At the end of the day, success is defined by the person taking risk. For me, success is going to probably be at a much higher bar than a guy that defines it as $10k a month passive income. I think that's why op is getting a lot of heat..

So yes, op is correct, but only in the sense of someone looking to build an empire over $50m+ in assets. Anything below and grandma Betty could probably do that shit bruh..

Napoleon Hill would say otherwise but I see your point, the fact that your brain is still forming until 25 and you can really manipulate it for the better during that time is invaluable. But for the typical male we're not quite fully mentally and emotionally mature until 35 supposedly. This is when you can fully access your energy potential.
Lots of guys don't succeed before then because they don't have the maturity to not party and chase tail all day, takes discipline younger folks are lacking.
Its all in your mind, if you're 85 and you decide to think it, you can make it happen.

Let’s be real, can you make it when your past 35? Now I KNOW what more then the majority of this site will say. “Of course you can! There are so many examples! You can do anything you set your mind to!”

The reality is that one’s youth is HIGHLY HIGHLY influential in the direction of one’s life. Take a guy who got bullied since pre school. He will grow up thinking he is unlovable. This will cause him to not try in anything. This will then further reinforce his low value even further creating a downward spiral. Can he fix this? Of course. And many have. But some won’t. And those that didn’t receive that negative feedback will have a major advantage.

The same with any skill. If you are 6’7 and want to join the NBA at 31 you have no shot. The guy who was 6’7 and wanted to join the NBA since 7 will outclass you 10000%.

I think the same could be with entrepreneurship or with anything. The younger you are the more positive reference experience you will get which will further reinforce your level of output and energy to get the result. The upward spiral of awesomeness. The opposite holds true as well.

Let’s be honest. How many that start (key word start) at 35 actually make it?

I'm not going to read this whole thread to see if this was click-bait, but I will tell you what I think. I think if you believe what you wrote above, you are a F*cking moron.

If you have a loser attitude you'll NEVER get anything done at ANY age....Almost all young guys are idiots, I know that because I used to be one (I'm 55 now, I work for myself)....One area of wisdom older guys have regards women. When you get older you mostly have them figured out and because of that they lose most of their allure.

That's your opinion, a negative vomit, never a conclusion.
Apparently you don't read much! or you are reading the wrong stuff borrowed from poor and negative people. As others have suggested, you won't make it in business with such mindset. Not all people are meant to be entrepreneurs, and it's totally fine because we rely on such people like you to make us rich.

Yep, and the funny part is they don't even know they're idiots. When they look back, at 55 (as I have done), it's embarrassing how idiotic most guys are.

One area of wisdom older guys have regards women. When you get older you mostly have them figured out and because of that they lose most of their allure.

I have figured out women many times. But every time I do, they change the rules of the game - so I start over.

What? Come on man! Although women don't have that mesmerizing effect on me anymore, I definitely appreciate them more. They are ten times better than (most) men at understanding and dealing with emotions. They also have much better intuition. And, of course, their beauty is both physical and emotional, which also greatly surpasses men. I have always said that all women are beautiful - some are just a little bit more so than others. My best friend, soul mate, confidant, and lover, just happens to be a woman - so I know of what I speak!

Let's be honest: You're definitely not someone I'd like to have around. I'm 46 and have more energy than some young people. Now it's true my priorities are not as materialistic as they used to be in my 20s so my drive for that is a lot lower. But I still love building things and can put the work. And I run even faster than many millenials.

Let's be honest, you're just trying to find excuses as you're getting old.

Hey Edgelord Brian,

- It is the communicators charge to get their point across clearly and succinctly.

- You stated, "None of you got the point of this thread and it’s clear to me that none of you guys clearly read what I said."

- It is not the audiences job to "get" your point or to "clearly" read what you wrote.

- If many people or misinterpreting what you wrote, who's fault is that?

- You stated that you are just trying to help those young folk get moving and do something, to get out of the UNSCRIPTED life.

- A man saw this need a few yrs back and decided to provide pertinent information for people of all ages to get out of the unscripted life.

- What did he do, write 2 books and start a forum where like minded individuals can share experiences and advice with others and provide support and guidance so that they all can change their lives for the better.

- HE PROVIDED and CONTINUES TO PROVIDE VALUE...you tell people they are triggered and call them idiots for not CLEARLY understanding what YOU wrote.

- To paraphrase lyrics from a famed punk rocker, "There's a lesson to be learned here, But what a price to pay, You know, I may never learn..."

- DB

Like it or not, you're going to grow older -- as long as you don't do something silly like jump off of a cliff without a parachute. Yes, your personal and work habits as a kid and young adult really contribute to your success later in life. The part of your thinking that I question has to do with external influences. I had a very rough beginning. Those bruises and bumps made me doggedly determined to be successful. I was the kids who could never go home, no matter what. I had to face the music and stand there in the face of some pretty rough moments. I learned that many of these failures were necessary steps for the positive stuff that came later. I have reinvented myself many times over the years. At the grand old age of 65, I'm glad I didn't give up when I was only 35. Think of all the stuff I would have missed out on...

BS Ever hear of self-development? What happened to me as a child may influence me, but it doesn't have to be my stumbling block. I've had a successful writing career that I started at 65, and I'm not done yet. Watch me run rings around you, whippersnapper.

no matter what users think, you managed to grab attention and this is already an achievement in our society.

you are on the right path

this is funny because most threads with real value are ignored on this forum and controversial threads which bring no value at all have a lot of replies

this is the same phenomena everywhere in society

Good luck OP.

I'm here to lend an ear to you whenever you need to chat. This thread, along with your other one, tell me that you might not be in a good place right now, at least mentally.

One thing is certain to me. All of us will die one day, and I hope that everyone, including you, will live and die with no regrets.

I’m writing this post for young people like me to have a sense of URGENCY.

If you are really and truly concerned about your fellow young people, you should encourage them, instead of trying unsuccessfully to discourage other people. I do think people should do and learn certain things when they're younger, though, the most important of which is knowing when to speak and when not to. o_O

My perception is you can afford to dream big and take more risk when you are in the 20s.

When you are in the 30s. You have to perform. You cannot try fanciful ideas and hope somehow they will work out. You have to be very honest on your personal strength and weakness. In short you must do things that can IMMEDIATELY give you a cash return. I am not saying you should work 9-5 I am saying you should be focusing on training and developing what has been working for you.

30-40 is usually the phase that separate the successful and the rest, with the exception of very few early boomers who got rich before 30.

By the time you reach 40 if you only have a cv of multiple start up ventures with zero cash in bank you are basically fuked. Sorry that is the truth. If you do not believe me just go and talk to the middle aged Uber drivers many were once business owners.

You are not really proving against anything.

High education attainment is correlated with having few sexual partners and delaying sexual gratification.

How the hell are you a low achiever?

Please stop projecting your own opinion and insecurities onto other people.

Between 03.13. and 04.17. (time I did my PhD) I've laid more than 30 women.

I couldn't get laid in my masters or bachelor's not because I was busy, I didn't get laid because I was insecure as F*ck.
