I stuck with a subject I knew intimately (including the soup idea which is no longer unique 3 years later) and gave a narrow-minded, stubborn guy a character arc with multiple paradigm shifts. In a lot of ways, Trotman was like me when I was a 29 year old who thought he knew everything.

Liked it and am a bit confused about the whole vegan theme... I'm a big fan of diet experimenting (have some health issues), I used to do low carb high fat, but haven't gotten any improvements. Your book inspired me to try a vegan type of diet, very interesting to see the result. I also been gluten-free for a few years, and for me it is a game-changer

I've read The Great Rat Race Escape , and loved the storytelling. The storytelling enhanced the lessons. And I was impressed all the way through the book.

I've read the Great Rat Race Escape .
After finishing Fastlane and Unscripted I had to try this book too.
To begin with I wasn't sold on the whole storytelling aspect, and figured I would just skip it if it got to much. It turned out very different. I started to look forward to the break. Listening to MJ go on about business is great, don't get wrong, but having the Trotman's help bring down the intensity every once in a while is great to.

the story of the couple in this book has never left my brain! EVER I told the story to an old friend, and he got so excited he went off and did his own thing! lol (wish he would of read the book tho) AMAZING BOOK and great intro into story telling, could of sworn MJ been telling stories since he was in grade school the way he told that one!

I have read "The Great Rat Race Escape ." I love how @MJ DeMarco weaved the principles into a good story. I am not sure if I should call it a fictional story, however, since this is the everyday reality of so many people. Incredible book! Now, I have to focus on finishing "Unscripted ."

I finished the Great Race Race Escape earlier this month. I loved the book! I enjoyed the part-fiction, part-teaching style. Very innovative and enjoyable.

Listened on audible. Some interesting pronunciation here and there.

Felt like he was describing my wife, in the second stage. Risk averse to an extreme. Doesn’t trust my ventures. Doesn’t believe when I go all in on something and quit because I DONT LIKE IT.

Wish my wife was closer to the one described by Alex Hormizi and his $100 million series of books. “What’s the problem? Let’s go solve it! All in!”

Either way, another good one. Glad to have rediscovered MJ and the Fastlaners.

It was a long road to get here. But the longest trip of my life had started when i read the fastlane. I had realised what i want from my life. This book was a confirmation for me that the path I chose would be good. Now its time to grind time will show wasn't I wrong? Thanks MJ DeMarco
