Once you get gray hair like me your life is done."
I remember at the age of 18 a few friends of mine had gray hair the same age. Gray hair is genetic. As my 9 year younger half brother has more gray hair than me. It runs in our family and all the men had gray hair early. So, I believe many people use this as an excuse.

What I learned from the Dutch and Germans is Blond is the hip thing in their society. I believe this program is from Germany. Which I will ignore, because I was born a brunette, and in America, Blonds usually end up with the dizzy blond jokes. I think culture determines what is favored by hair trends.

Ever since I arrived in the Netherlands just about every woman and man I meet colors their hair whether it's gray or not. And all different colors. Since I've been here I've colored my hair because frankly, I don't have little streaks of gray, I have highlights of white hair mixed with brunette. It just looks funny to me, so I color my hair chocolate or auburn.

Bottom line, I don't think the color of my hair is going to make a difference in the amount of money I make. I believe if hair was the secret sauce, then many millionaires and billionaires would all have the same color hair, color eyes, skin tone, same body structure, and selling clones of themselves.

I have some fears and anxiety around old age (I'm about to be 30)
I don't view 40 as old, but 65 seems pretty old.
And the years are flying by.
Actually, probably my biggest fears in life are about growing older.

My actual *fear* is mostly of my health deteriorating no matter what I do.

Mainly, my *anxieties* are towards reaching old age without:
  • Achieving my dreams.
  • Being around my loved ones.
  • Having enough wealth to make old age more fun.
It's part of why I'm up at 5:30 am this morning, when I don't actually have to go to the office until 7 pm tonight.

Not that I believe in acting out of fear, but a healthy dose of respect for old age has always helped me be productive.
Memento mori.
