Browsing the forum is not a distraction. However, posting can be.

Why?

Because sometimes we substitute "posting" for "taking action". We get likes, replies, notifications, etc. - and feel like we're doing something. When in reality, we're simply making a post and sitting on our a$$.

With that said: if you understand this, then the forum is nothing but benefit. Don't use the forum as a way to lie to yourself, and instead use it as a tool for growth.

Very good point.

Something I have been careful to NOT do in my progress thread is post so many updates on what I plan to do.

Instead I try to post updates on what I have actually done.
