Interest check: European Fastlane Meetup

Hi everyone,

Attending the 2020 Fastlane Summit was one of the most transformative experiences of my life.

It brought me lifelong friends, business and insights, and cemented the Fastlane philosophy in my life.

Two weeks ago we organized a Dutch Fastlane meetup locally, and it was a great experience. It made me realize how important meeting up with like-minded people is.

We're all on our individual Fastlane journeys, but there's something special about coming together and sharing insights/experiences/connections with fellow Fastlaners in real life.

After talking with a couple of Fastlane friends across Europe, I've decided to put together an initial interest check for an unofficial European Fastlane meetup.

The details will have to be figured out but if a European Fastlane meetup sounds like something you'd be interested in, then please vote in the poll here. If there's enough interest, I will look at location, dates etc.

Please note that this will be an informal, unofficial community meetup that will be 100% free for everyone to attend. The sole goal here is to bring together Fastlaners across Europe.

As this is a community effort: if you have any input, ideas, feedback then definitely post them up in this thread.

After the meetup two weeks ago I had great follow-up (online) coffees with Fastlane members.
It's a great way to connect and learn from each other.

Does somebody need to be a member of the forum to be able to participate?
As it's not an official summit.

If your Dutch meetup worked, have you thought about making that an annual event? If so, it would be easy to make it "European" or "International" by just opening it to anyone on the forum that wanted to attend.
My only thought on location was that perhaps somewhere near Schiphol airport would make it easier for people to attend from further afield.

Once we have an idea of how many people are interested, I'll run a poll to determine the best location. Personally, I'm a big fan of Poland.

Good thing about Europe is the open borders, and cheap & fast air travel between countries.

Maybe. We had a smaller crew this time, so it's easy to meet up more often. With larger groups more coordination might be required.

We met up at a bar in Amsterdam and the meetup lasted around 3 hours. Could've gone much longer, but people had other plans for the afternoon.

For a European meetup I'd make it at least one full day.

If it's in the fall, I'm out as I won't be in Europe. And October, let alone November, in Poland is a very bad idea for a meetup. It'll be terrible dreary weather already.

It would also help justify a long journey for some people.
