Hi guys
Today I wanted to share a tiny success I had. After reading TMF and Unscripted , as well as taking in @Andy Black's advice on "who have you helped", my brain had just been tuned into a different frequency. I'm currently prepping for interviews, and I usually practice with a group of people within a forum. Since the interviews had moved online, the interview structures and timings were rigid which created a lot of anxiety for a lot of people due to the time restrictions on answering each question. It also meant that practising by timing ourselves was also cumbersome, having to press stop and start between questions. I recognised this was a frustration amongst other forum members. So I thought wouldn't it be good if there was an app which could automate this practising process and simulate the real interview with questions preloaded. So I hired my friend who's really good at programming, created a web app, and chatted with the admin's on the forum about selling this( the forum was a no advertising forum so I had to get their approval first), all on the same day as I thought of my idea (that was yesterday btw). Today, I've sold to 4 customers. It's nothing big. But for a newbie like me who's never done anything business-wise in the past, this was a huge win for me. I was super excited because I was validated by the market for the first time! It all started because I wanted to help others solve their problem.
