It was done out of love.
Add a few years to someones age and often it reframes "the getting old is no FUN" angle and they don't feel as old!
(or they take it personally and think you're serious....or if they're really old they start posting politicians in dancing gifs ) Growing older can be beautiful as the videos below hopefully show. Just like the seasons of the year. Winter may not be Summer, but it has it's own unique grace

It's funny though how birthdays can go from something we can't wait for as kids to often the opposite, and a reminder of how old father time ravages our bodies (and also a reminder of our mortality)

When I feel like that it can often be good to watch a video or two like below. Gets me motivated to grow old well! (Plus when you watch a few you often see potential fastlane patterns to health/mobility)

idk maybe I havent reached that age yet... I am still as excited about my birthday as I was when I was younger! you can ask anyone who knew me way back when and that still knows me now I do the count down every year.

I have earned all my stripes, I wear each with pride I regret nothing and look forward to everything... its just who I am and who I always hope to be! I want to count down the days till my birthday for many years to come!
