Hi there,
I'd like to brainstorm a little bit on an idea that I've had because of wondering if it's actually do-able/feasible/etc...
A little bit about my background: I'm a dentist by profession but also would like to start my own business out of curiosity to find out "what else could be done" and to test limits and boundaries - ultimately to live a life without regrets. None of my friends have their own businesses or have become entrepreneurs (if you don't count opening an own dental surgery), which is why I'm very grateful to have come across this forum.
In an ideal world I'd like to found my own dental company at some point, creating innovative products based on research and new ideas. Since I haven't graduated that long ago and have to repay my student loan, the required financial funds are quite low aka basically non-existent, which is why this idea needs to be put on hold for now.
But I also don't want to sit around and do nothing apart from working my regular job, which is why I'd like to brainstorm idea no. 2 with you: creating a webstore with already existing innovative dental products.
The beginner problems I see for now are:
- I have no idea how to build an own webstore,
- I don't even know if I'm allowed to resell or what the process for reselling looks like,
- maybe this is another starter's project that is too expensive,
- maybe this is a completely crap idea,
- and probably there's even more problems that I haven't even thought of yet...
Some reasons as to why I'd like to give this is a go are, apart from helping people find products that help them establish healthy dental routines, wanting to extend my skillset, learn about selling online (but only by creating real value for consumers and not by being another one who sells AI-generated mugs...), learn about building a business and all of that in a field that I'm passionate about and feel that people could be educated and helped upon.
But maybe this is also not the "right" way to go about these things, which is why I hope to get some insights from people who know more than I do. Maybe this is too much of a challenge for someone who is just starting or maybe not
What do you think?
I thank you for your input in advance,
Cristina
