hi guys i decided to have a journal type thread, where i put my thoughts about the market (forex, stocks, few commodities), put in my current positions, and hopefully my gains as well as losses. I will try to keep this thread updated at least once a week. my style is rather mid long term (trend trading), i sometimes like to pickup a few scalps(short term trades/intra day) if i see an opportunity. I am a techincal trader and i almost always trade the charts, but new's can help every once in a while. Hopefully i can help out anyone interested in the money markets through this thread as well.
My view for the up coming week:
fundamental:
Definatley a week dollar is going to be seen through out all forex pairs, all the dollars being dumped in the market (AIG, 700B mortgage buy out's) that came out of no where cant really help the dollar's strength that has been held up by market intervention from the gov't.
Techincal:
again the dollar/Eur showing respect for the bottom trendline, the pair is rather erratic but it is still respecting the trendlines.
GBP/USD, again weak dollar, for this pair i would go long.
USD/CHF, once more the week dollar, i would short this pair.
GBP/JPY, dont have much fundamentals, but chart says long
you can also pick up a quick scalp on this one if it breaks the upper trend line, id shoot for 50-75 pips or something w/sl of 25.
GBP/CHF, no fundies, but one to keep my eye's on, looks like it might break out of triangle might be good for a few hundred pips.
