The last thread I found on this is from 2020.
I'm curious what people here are using in 2025.
I don't currently use one but I want to make the plunge.
From the limited research I've done so far my top choice is the Whoop. I don't love the monthly subscription cost but it's not a dealbreaker. The battery life seems decent enough - I don't want something I have to charge daily. The "pace of aging" numbers are appealing to me. Even if it's a gimmick, it seems like the type of gimmick that would make me want to game-ify it and improve my sleep / do more cardio.
From what I've read the Oura ring isn't recommended to be worn while weightlifting. The idea of buying a fitness tracker I'm not supposed to wear at the gym seems dumb.
Apple Watch seems priced reasonably. The smartphone features hold zero appeal to me, I'm only interested in fitness / sleep tracking. Shockingly, it doesn't seem like you need a monthly subscription if you only are using those health functions. Unfortunately, battery life seems significantly worse than the Whoop as a result of it basically being a smartphone.
Are there other options I'm missing? Feedback from anyone here on what they like / dislike / stuff they wish they knew?
