...to see what people are hiring for, and where you could possibly fill in.

Then I'd recommend NOT applying for any listings, and instead reach out cold to companies who are similar to those posting in the job boards, and offer your help. Take whatever they'll give you.

I'm in recruiting and see companies generally respond favorably at a 1:30 ratio from cold outreach, versus 1:100 through applications. The competition is stiff...so don't compete with everyone else pushing resumes and applications doing it the stupid way.

Save up, and go for the Tropical Trinity. Mexico (Puerto Vallarta), Florida (Anywhere), and the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). All three seem to be relatively free based on the feedback here, where it's probable to bounce between those places.

Good Luck!

Sorry, I almost forgot!

The previous Socialist Government implemented a Law, still active of course, that if you're a man and a woman sue you for abuse, you will be the one responsible to give proof that you haven't done anything and police will arrest you by default.

And if there's nobody at your house, squatters can traspass it, change the entrance locks while you're out and you can't take them out. Not only that if you defend yourself from intruders and harm them, they can sue you for damages!

At this point if aliens showed up, I'd be like "take me with you!"

OMG! But your lifelong experience of living in Spain is no match for what Robert wills read in a textbook or heard on CNN.
You know? I understand why it happens, Spain was until 2020 a top 1/2 tourism destination and locals treat foreigner betters than our own, there's a lot of endophobia here.

And Spanish workers are held in very high regard in other countries, so the perception of Spain and people is good, so the day by day experiences remain hidden and could fool people who doesn't do any research.

If it wasn't for the Union, Spain would be in deep shit, poverty everywhere and our currency would have zero value. We would be without any doubt the Argentina at this side of the Atlantic.

And professionals are well regarded because there's a massive flight of talent, so everyone who's good at something runs away looking for a better life.

Where do you plan to go? In what part of Spain do you live?

By the way, thanks for the write-up. I knew about a lot of this stuff from my own research and conversations with a friend from the Canary Islands but it's always valuable to hear it from another Spaniard.
I'm from the North. My top destinations are Estonia (without discarding the neighbours), Czech Republic, Andorra, Hungary and if I make a lot of money Switzerland. My biggest and most challenging desire would be becoming a perpetual traveler for a couple of years to not pay any personal taxes for a while, jumping around the mentioned countries every 3 months or so. Let's see how things evolve this year, even if I was a zillionaire I need to stay longer here. Any Eastern European country is valid right now for me.

The Canary Islands are in deep shit, with no tourism, increasing separatism and an on-going migrant crisis I wouldn't want to be there. Is very sad how things can change for worse in just a couple of years.

Didn't Spain mandate masks for people even while swimming in the ocean?

Yeah...I'll definitely pass. Thanks for the heads up @masterneme , I was considering moving there in the future with my girlfriend so I could pick up another passport. I think I'll just go for the Mexican one.
Yes, believe it or not the first months of our lockdown were very distopian, is no surprise that there's people wearing mask in stupid places because of mass brainwashing.

There are videos of people on the beach, forests and open places being arrested for not wearing a mask even if the were alone in kilometers.

It's embarrasing, but don't feel bad because there's a very high chance they voted for this, so just enjoy the show

I recently got back from a short vacation to Madeira, an island in the Atlantic Ocean that is an autonomous region of Portugal. Almost 82% of the population of Portugal is fully vaxinated and 87% had at least one dose. It's one of the highest rates in the world, if not the top3.

Pretty much everyone is vaxinated and they're well above the "freedom" vaccination rates promised in other countries. You'd expect that people over there would live in complete freedom.

And you'd be completely wrong.

For me, coming from Poland, it felt like traveling back in time to 2020. Wearing masks indoors is heavily enforced. You can't even wear it under your nose or they'll tell you to pull it up. Some people still wear a mask outdoors (and curiously, many of these people are actually young people). Some people STILL drive their cars alone while wearing a mask (these are my "favorite" people as this very often indicates a terrible driver so at least you're warned beforehand).

We went to a local weekly farmers' outdoor market and there was a woman guarding the entrance and making sure everyone used a disinfectant and wore a mask. There was also police guarding the exit.

We went on a private boat cruise and our skipper and his assistant wore their masks all the time. When I told them it was fine for them to remove them, the skipper said they would lose their license if they were caught doing that. That's despite Madeira requiring a test or a proof of vaccination just to get there, then the cruise company doing a temperature check before the cruise (lol) and the fact that it was ALL happening outdoors on a moving boat in the ocean (so can't have better ventilation than that). Oh, and also despite the fact that most likely everyone involved was vaxinated (us included).

Generally speaking, pretty much every single person working had a mask on. Guys patrolling outdoors in a national park. Waiters. Police. Bus drivers. Supermarket employees (I caught just one wearing it under her nose and that was shocking considering their compliance).

Just for comparison, in Poland just 51% of people had both doses and 52% had at least one. While in theory you still have to wear a mask indoors, few people do it these days (except for supermarkets and larger stores but then most people wear it under their noses). Restaurants, gas stations, small shops, farmers' markets, etc., nobody cares (including the staff).

And the most striking difference is that in Poland there are just a few hundred cases a day and on average no more than 10 deaths per day (for 38 million people) while in Portugal, with 10 million people, there are over a thousand cases a day (so at least 8 times more per capita than in Poland) and a similar number of deaths (so 4 times more deaths per capita).

Ireland has nightclubs fully open with hundreds/thousands with no masks but you still have to wear a mask in supermarkets. It’s just become hilarious at this stage tbh!

Come to Spain (or more specifically, the Canary Islands) and you'll see what hilarious is. They currently have some of the lowest number since the start of this BS, yet still judge their risk as "medium" and you have LOTS of people wearing masks outdoors, even when in the middle of nowhere or driving a car by themselves. Everything is open yet you can still only access a restaurant's menu through a QR code (as if you could really get infected by touching a menu, come on...).

I doubt this fear will go away anytime soon here. Perhaps an entire generation will have to pass before people start acting normal here again. Baseless fear is now everyday life for them.

This, plus tons of other issues I've had during my stay here make me pessimistic about the future of Spain, a country I used to like more in the past than now as I see all the clowns obediently and voluntarily wearing masks.

A family friend just called my parents to chat out of the blue yesterday. I guess their neighbors have abandoned Canada.

They are younger, and have five kids. Five!!! In two weeks they found jobs in Texas, sold all of their belongings and their house, packed up their kids and went south. He is a paramedic, she is a nurse. They both did not want to be forced to take a COVID "vaccine" or lose their jobs and be second class citizens. Five kids. Up and left in 2 weeks. If they can do it, anyone can.

Funny enough, they are not allowed to drive south through the US/Can border because they are not double double shot. So they all flew to Montana, and had a vaxxed friend drive their truck and belongings down. They met up, and flew their friend home, and drove the rest of the way. How does it make sense that you can fly there but not drive? Anyone who even looks at these rules for more than 20 seconds knows it is all BS.

I thought about creating another country via floating platforms in the sea or by buying/renting large amounts of land in a developing country and starting an enclave of complete free trade where the only rule is "Do whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate the rights of anyone else." If you think I'm joking I'm not. I know one of the wealthiest families in the world and I also know a royal family In fact they just emailed me and I emailed them back the last hour.

If you think it can't be done, we'll you might be right but you never know. I'm at a point in my life where I would want to do something like this.

I've lived in and visited a number of different countries, both developed, undeveloped and one with elements of prehistoric. Judging if the place is "better" is complex and is quite subjective. One thing that the US has that no other country has is that it's citizens have freedoms and protections that are very deep. Most citizens have no idea just how good they have it, regardless of all the incompetence, waste and abuse government at all levels has. For example, the US has no national language. To me that is like being able to take a deep breath!

As far as entrepreneurs go, they need absolute freedom to bring out the best of them. As I indicated above, to do whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate the rights of anyone else. That's the world I want to create.

I like where this guys head is at.

Let's create our own country.

From experience, there's many other countries available that are superior to western countries in the usual ways complained about. There's more than 200 in the world, guaranteed one will be close enough to taste. Especially if you've already made your money.

The first step is basically to throw away all preconceptions. I was amazed by how detached from reality my conceptions of some countries were. That's what happens when you're plugged into western media all the time. It's one thing to muse about a falling west and other countries on their way to passing the west by, but it's another to see it with your own eyes. The difference in the energy, the life, the human spirit.

That includes even sacred cows like democracy. Some non-democratic countries are way better than democratic ones. People just go about their business, while people in the west are perpetually in a state of hating the other side, as is part and parcel of a "vibrant" democracy. While there's some despotic countries in the world, I've never witnessed happiness and peace and natural humanity before like I witnessed among those in non-democratic countries.

The only tough part is accepting de facto refugee status. That's what leaving for political or humanitarian reasons actually is, whether rich or poor. There's always a certain value in being in your homeland, among your own kind, that nowhere else will ever give you. But that's not always valuable enough, and after all you can still visit (unless it gets extra bad, but in which case better to be out anyway).

Personally I usually think more about what would have to happen for the issues to be fixed.

You'd need a complete change of the cultural sentiments of the West at the moment. This includes stuff like: (perceived) safety over freedom, crazy woke propaganda, socialism, hating "the rich" etc. Unfortunately history shows that it won't happen until an inevitable collapse when another cycle begins. Eastern Europe still largely remembers these terrible times so they're unlikely to go back to full-blown socialism anytime soon.

On the other hand living in Poland has been amazing. No one bothers me about anything, everyone is super friendly, the place just feels free and happy, and they have great positive values and work ethic.

Poland is sort of in the middle between the West and the East, both geographically and culturally. It's getting more and more westernized and many things are actually way better than in more developed European countries.

Unfortunately, the current government is socialist, ultra-catholic, and populist. Poland had a terrible lockdown last year (you couldn't even go to a forest legally) and while it's better now I'm pretty sure many restrictions will return by the fall regardless of the fact that by the end of summer about 50% of people will be vaxinated.

The biggest issue with Poland right now is that even the opposition has to offer people freebies or they won't have any chances of winning. People in Poland get paid from the state for all kinds of things: having kids, being a single mother, being unemployed, etc. It promotes not working and penalizes those who are productive because they're paying for all the benefits.

There's a huge, communism-like focus on the family, and the bigger, the better. Usually only the poorest, least educated people have big families. These are the ones who have kids because the government will give them benefits for it. The only effect of these pro-family policies is that you promote quantity (have as many kids as possible, doesn't matter if you can afford educating them properly) over quality (have one or two kids and help them become very successful and productive people). There's even been talks of introducing a tax for people who aren't married. And some ultra-conservative crazy people want to send women who miscarry to jail (El Salvador style).

Poland is way better than many Western countries but it's on a similar trajectory, just earlier in the process...

It’s a another topic and another story. But it pretty much will never go away. There’s just too much money to be made and government are too stupid to recognize that stopping a black market is almost impossible.

But it’s really something that is isolated. If you mind your own business you should be just as safe as in your hometown.

Im a Mexican citizen an will probably move to Mexico. I wouldn’t live near a border or anything too touristy. Something central and close though.

But sad though. You have more rights and freedom in these third world countries than in the US. Their economy is doing pretty good as well. Food or real estate are always good businesses.

My issue with Mexico is that it's not particularly safe for foreigners to buy a house in some nice secluded place or otherwise attract any attention to yourself. As far as I know, unless you live in a gated community, you need security to be able to live in a nicer house on your own plot of land. I'm not talking about flashing your money everywhere, just pointing out that you're very likely to become targeted if you choose to enjoy your money a little (except for some places like Mérida).

Or am I wrong?

My wife is Mexican and we spend a lot of time here. Currently in Yucatan Peninsula and it's awesome. Not very touristy, weather is hot all the time (if you like that sort of thing), and it's super safe. Personally we used to go to Playa del Carmen and we won't ever go back. I get hassled literally everytime I go out the door, and I don't feel even remotely safe when the sun sets.

So far my favorite sports are Yucatan Peninsula (Merida and Progreso area), and around Mexico city. Any resort area would be hotel-stay only.

Tourist areas are only safe in the tourist part of that area, the regular parts of those areas to me seem super unsafe compared to just regular mexico

I can sympathize with getting hassled everywhere, had the same experience in the area. Yucatan is definitely much nicer than Quintana Roo as for not feeling like a walking wallet lol.

You need strict racial harmony laws and meritocracy in the mindset of the populace. Without these, how can you continue churning out OK government policies? How can you keep the private sector of entrepreneurs moving forward? How will your businesses continue running?

That is what Singapore has done successfully so far.

Malaysia seems to have everything in place to become the next Singapore. Hopefully sooner or later it will happen as the country has a lot of potential.

Well, I live in Perth in Western Australia, and it feels like the sentiment is starting to turn, which has led to our federal government announcing the 'roadmap out of COVID' last week.

The past sentiment has been more of the 'keep us safe, we will put up with less freedom', but is shifting towards more unrest at the Orwellian state of play at the moment where the elected officials have control of your personal freedoms in your own country.

It's surprising that finally there's a shift even in Australia, or at least in Perth.

I would sell a testicle to be a Singapore, or Monaco citizen. Probably the two best places on earth, just by pure numbers. Never going to happen though.

I've been to Monaco and it's oppressively small. You can walk from one end of the country to another in less than an hour. Unless you're a billionaire you won't live there in a nice house but in a small apartment. I felt claustrophobic there and I doubt that any amount of money would make you feel better about being stuck in a country the size of a postage stamp.

Unless you mean be a citizen and live elsewhere.

Singapore is definitely much nicer than Monaco. Way more space, way more nature, and one of the best places in the world for easy travel.

Andorra could be an option for you as well, though getting a citizenship is also very hard.

The Baltics are also intriguing to me, but less likely.

I can't imagine you in the Baltics lol.

That's very true. I had high hopes for some countries that turned out to be disappointing and was positively surprised by some countries I had thought would be okay at best.

I like the sound of Bulgaria, with it's low cost of living and 10% tax rate.

Yeah their flat tax sounds awesome. Can't imagine it happening anywhere in the West currently...

Do you really want to move out to eastern europe? when most of the population is poor and doesn't know english outside the main tourist area? Russia? China? really??

Have you ever been to the region? I remember once having a layover in Chicago and having to transfer to another terminal by bus. Some guys (Americans) were saying that the bus was old and looked like from Eastern Europe. The funny thing is that actually a lot of infrastructure in Eastern and/or Central Europe is new, if not futuristic compared to the US. As a person from Poland, I was shocked countless times by how old and dilapidated everything looked in the US.

Depending on how you define which countries are Eastern European, you get places like:
  • Russia - flat 13% income, some very rich and super modern cities like Moscow, a global power with a huge self-sufficient economy. It's easy to disregard it as a dictatorship but there is a lot of money there and it probably has better long-term prospects than some broke Western countries.
  • Poland (I consider it Central Europe but well) - I can assure you that most of the population isn't poor though they don't have 5 SUVs parked by their McMansions. It's also one of the safest places in the world.
  • the Baltics (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia - consistently ranked as some of the happiest and most prosperous countries in the world.
  • up-and-coming potential local tourist powerhouses like Albania, Montenegro, or Macedonia.
Of course there are poorer countries like Ukraine or Belarus but to say that the entire region is poor and people don't speak English is silly. Even if they don't, if you're planning to move somewhere else, you should learn the local language anyway. You'd expect the same from people moving to the US from non-English speaking countries.

Contrary to the US, unless you are born in this countries you will always be an expat, if you migrate into the states are you american and should be treated like that.

Not really, it depends on the place and also how you look. A black person probably won't be able to integrate easily in Ukraine and a white person won't integrate into most Asian countries. But it also depends on your specific location in each country. Capital cities or any big cities make integrating easier than smaller cities or towns, let alone countryside.

I believe Australia also keeps its citizens, under the thumb and you pay tax in Australia even if you don't live or work there.

Nope. ATO is very aggressive in determining whether you're really no longer a tax resident but you can give up your tax residency and never pay tax in Australia. Americans can't. There are foreign exemptions but you still have to pay if you exceed a specific level of income.

Nigeria? Hhmmm...

I live in a country where many pride themselves with being the biggest economy in Africa. Well, to some extent that is true going by the numbers. The most populated black nation in sub-sahara Africa. No birth control- people giving birth like ants(laughs). Statistics is zero, the government has no data.

The problem of our leaders is that they make decisions based on limited knowledge. In a country where some of its citizens are intelligent, in terms of being IT savvy, yet the leadership sucks!

Now, i am handicapped and handcuffed as it were! I can't move!! I see the Fastlane as a mere dream. Guess what, my so-called president has just banned the use of twitter!!! How can i survive as an Entrepreneur?

I love the points raised in The Millionaire Fastlane , but given the right enabling environment i can rise above the odds. But my location is crippling!

How can i fight for what i believe in? Migration seems to be my only answer.

I'm sorry to hear that. Nigeria seems to have a lot of potential but as in the case with many other similar countries, it can go either way. Currently it seems to be going in the wrong direction then...

Bankso in the mountains is a really cool spot. You can buy a really nice apartment there for less than usd50k (I mean, REALLY nice).

The most expensive restaurant in town might set you back usd30 for 2 people.

Please can someone answer my previous question. Would you still move country if you’re not fastlane yet??

I can't leave because I can't afford the exit tax.

You either have to do it when you have nothing or already enough to use advanced tax structures.

Everything in the middle, you are F*cked and stuck.

Don't repeat my mistakes.

I'm seeing the vaxinated vs unvaxinated dynamic at work already.

At my work, you have to wear a mask if you don't sign a paper saying you took the vaccine upon returning to work. You have to show proof when asked as well.

So anyone who walks around wearing a mask is letting everyone else know they're likely unvaxinated.

I might as well wear a scarlet letter lol.

I'm not excited about my coworkers giving me dirty looks.

Laws are changing, too. They are becoming more and more protective of people's rights and are doing away with the ones that interfere with people's rights. And police in various jurisdictions are not enforcing some mandates that interfere with people's rights.
Where do you come up with the rubbish you post?

Jesus f*ck. I give up. You are so brainwashed this has gone beyond humor now. Wow. Just f*cking wow.

In other words, his brain is owned by CNN, FOX, NPR, and the NY Times -- he keeps us updated into the latest mainstream brainwashing, without having us to visit any of the aforementioned propaganda outlets.

@Timmy C At this point I think it has pretty much been confirmed that the "fact checkers" are full of crap. Most of the institutions that do the fact checking are funded by the very ones who benefit from anything they do and say. And they have also straight up lied with some of what has been posted true or false.

What pisses me off about all this lock down BS is what it has cost the world. The death rate from covid, if it is even higher than the normal death rate, is do marginal. Most who died where not healthy individuals and many had a foot in the grave anyways. Every person I know who died from it was incredibly unhealthy, and they would have passed shortly anyways.

Meanwhile scientific research, technological research, medical research... It was all essentially put on pause for over a year. How many deaths will that cause? Depression, suicide, abuse, are all at all time high levels right now. Aid to people and countries who need it most has dropped significantly and this will have huge ramifications. How many small businesses and livelihoods have been completely wiped out?

This has been cutting off your arm to save your fingers, the world over. And most people are buying it completely. Why is it ok to take 0 responsibility for my life and be a medical burden on society due to my lack of health, but if I want to go and support a local business who wants my dollars and not wear a mask they want to throw me in jail?

It pisses me off to no end to see these absolute fat F*cks who have barely been responsible a day in their lives post all over social media about how great a person they are because they wear 2 masks and "got the jab". Good for you, now go stuff your face with some more burgers and fries you walking heart attack. Oh wait, that's not exactly true either because your fat a$$ won't even walk to the corner store, gotta drive your 300lbs there instead.

That subject should be about where do you want to move and why, what is better about that country where you want to move, and not about the covid situation.
We have been over this. As much as some people would rather discuss humidity levels and scenery, Covid was a massive test for not only the culture of a country’s citizens, but also an examination of the government’s respect for personal freedoms. The government, being directed by the demands of people, is the primary reason we all are sick of our countries.

Trust me, the Houston swamp humidity and flat uninspiring scenery is the least of my worries.

That said:

Not being vaxinated does violate the rights of everyone else.

You're an imbecile and done in this thread.

You're so brainwashed that it has become comical, or perhaps we're all being trolled.

If not, you're a modern day Sonderkommando who does exactly as you're told. You're the reason why I'm armed. You're the one killing your neighbor because "someone of perceived authority" told you to do so.

I'm not going to suffer through your propaganda on my forum.

If i want propaganda, I have the television and the rest of the internet at my disposal.

I saw so many huge whales of human beings

It's so bad that they all have motorized wheelchairs now, ya know, because they ate themselves so obese.

In our clown world, these people can't even physically shop for the family sized PopTarts that incapacitated them in the place.

But good on them for wearing those cloth masks - that will fix that 66% BMI.

You should try to understand why you laugh at people, the psychology behind it.

You should try to understand why you can't think for yourself, and the psychology behind it. Hint: You're a order-taking child who wears adult clothing.

It's funny, I just realized I use the "laugh" emoji for both your posts and @robertwills posts.

The difference is I'm laughing with you. I'm laughing at him.

Don't worry, he'll have the data to respond just as soon as the 6'oclock news tells him how to respond.

Or better yet, Apple alerts him on his smartphone.

Doesn't science evolve and get updated?

This is from 2010.
I doubt it's still relevant.

Good science is always relevant. Why would something published in 2010 suddenly be untrue? So long as the design is correct, the data collection is not flawed, and analysis was performed right then the results from the past are just as relevant as today.

Good science that represents the truth is eternal, it’s just as good and relevant forever as long as it represents the fact of nature, it’s not subjective, it therefore doesn’t change over time.

Now if there was some problem with the design, data collection, or analysis then yes the studies need to be redone and reanalyzed to see what the effect is.

However, in addition to the these old studies we have a newer large study from the Netherlands that showed no statistical difference, in science that means it didn’t work (or at least any difference observed is not reliable and is likely due to chance).

Also, empirically, if you look at the strictest states and compare to the least strict, there is no evident improvement in outcome. You should be able to see an obvious difference if there was a clear health benefit, and you don’t.

Lol!!! I just found out that in Alberta, where I am from, there are protests FOR lockdowns!!! Hahahahaha.

No one is forcing these people to go out in public, you are 100% able to lock yourselves down at any given moment. The sheer stupidity is amazing.

The situation can change so rapidly that my new plan is to find at least 3-4 places around the world where I have a home base set up.

This is what I've been doing for a few years. Added Mexico to that list this year. I also added an RV in the US to the list for a mobile homebase.

Currently have Latvia, US, Mexico and the RV.

I tried to convince my wife we need to buy an off the grid home with some land and she almost killed me. I think 4 was her limit....lol

Yes, same MO as printing money. Kick the can, only the can grows exponentially once down the road. Musk has the right idea, Mars not looking so bad now. God this place has and is going downhill at an alarming rate.

At this point if aliens showed up, I'd be like "take me with you!"
Hi,

I'm from Spain and after reading the thread I want to tell people who suggested to come if it's a good idea.

Short answer:

DON'T. EVER. SPAIN IS DEAD.

Long answer:

Have you read what Tommy C has written about Australia? It's pretty similar here. We just stopped last month wearing mandatory mask everywhere, but we still need to have them in public indoor places. And the previous month we stopped curfew. This means that for more than a year we have been forced to wear masks and be at home before 23:00, 22:00 in some places. A year lockdown. And most probably when the winter comes we will have more restrictions again.

Our government is a coallition of hateful anti-Spanish parties:

-Spanish Socialists which 90 years ago were the main provoquers of the Civil War, murdering and torturing tens of thousands of innocents. Instead of disappearing they're in the government and they have been 2 other times in the past 40 years, leading the country to severe unemployment rates, misery and loss of rights, EVERY, SINGLE, TIME.

They have been involved in some huge corruption cases, making them the most corrupt party in Europe, which adding other parties to the mix, in Spain politicians have stolen billions making us one of the most if not the most corrupt European country in modern history.

-Communists. Yes you read that right, in the government there are communists making decisions about our Society. They overtly state they want us to be like Venezuela.

And in the Parliament we also have 5 separatist parties, one of them supported the terrorist group ETA with dozens of bombings, kidnapppings, assasinations and hundreds of murders on their hands.

Taxes have gone through the roof, we have an unemployment rate of 30% and 50% if we only consider young people.

Hospitals and primary attention is very restricted and if you have an accident you may very well die because of being unattended.

Millions have lost their jobs, tens of thousand of businesses closed forever and many don't even have to eat (google "colas del hambre").

Tourism? Destroyed. Crime and suicide rates? To the Moon. Barcelona has been named by some the crime capital of Europe and in Madrid there're several no-go zones.

And we're importing 500+ illegal aliens per day.

The worst part is that all of this happens with the full approval and support from the majority of people and things won't get better... nobody protests, nobody does anything, VERY SAD...

I could write for hours but I think you get the idea, DON'T EVER COME TO SPAIN, it's a walking corpse and you'll be severely punished if you do.

I know, the food and the weather is so good, right? Then just come for a couple of weeks and then get out. But to live? HAHAHA NO HELL NO. You would be better off going to Andorra or Portugal and making small visits here from time to time.

Seriously, suggesting Spain as a destination made me chuckle, but I understand why, Spain's perception worldwide is usually good and our internal sociopolitical complexities get overlooked, which is why I wrote this post, so you don't get fooled.

Needless to say, I'm already making plans to get out of this shithole.

Good luck everyone and stay strong.

PS: Pro tip, don't get too involved in what MSM says, you'll get paranoid and stop investing time and energy in what matters, which is your life. Make plans and be prepared for what can happen but take into account that MSM and politicians are fearmongers and if you fall for it, you lose. If I payed attention to what the media says here I would go insane.

OMG! But your lifelong experience of living in Spain is no match for what Robert wills read in a textbook or heard on CNN.

Seems like their definition of happiness is a nanny state with lots of free stuff. The reality of that “Free” stuff will be a tax hell where the government gets to choose where your money is spent instead of you. Google claims a 56% income tax rate for all that free stuff.

Sadly the US is rapidly descending into that same silliness.

So yesterday in Melbourne, because we were naughty and went to the beach, they banned PLAYGROUNDS.

So kids can't play at playground?

A bunch of us went all around Melbourne today and cut all of the things blocking the playgrounds for the kids so they can go play.

Absolutely indefensible.

The president of Brazil just gave a speech this week at the UN: He is against mandatory vaccines and against vaccine passports. He is also pro family, talks about the importance of freedom, and against globalist policies...

Just saying in case any of you is fond on that.

Edit: Oh and in favor of citizens being able to have guns
