GPT store to launch next week.

A new wave of online millionaires is coming. The golden era will probably last no more than 1-2 years but if you're fast, it'll be enough to set yourself up for life.

For those saying that AI won't take away a lot of jobs...

I've been using it to proofread my new book (sorry unannounced as of yet) and it does better than any editor I've ever hired.

BTW, I usually hire 3 editors for every book I write.

Now, I won't need to hire any.

@MJ DeMarco, I'm super excited to hear about your new book. Just bought GoalSumo.com too and am enjoying it so far, it's keeping me on the straight and narrow.

Off topic: but I'd love if you could chain goals together through to the dream goals, but I should leave that feedback on the app.

Out of interest, which AI are you using for proofreading your manuscript? GPT-4 or something more specialised?

Glad the platform has increased your focus.

“Because copyright today covers virtually every sort of human expression – including blogposts, photographs, forum posts, scraps of software code, and government documents – it would be impossible to train today’s leading AI models without using copyrighted materials,” said OpenAI in its submission, first reported by the Telegraph.

Is anyone aware of an agency or service that uses AI to translate books into other languages and checks the content to ensure there are no translation errors? I suppose when it comes to translation, AI might make more mistakes than it does when it comes to proofreading.

Could this be a viable business idea (as long as AI doesn't translate perfectly and you don't need the agency at all)?

Many publishers in my country focus solely on translating English bestsellers into their language and marketing them. This business model could become appealing for individuals skilled in promoting books. I've thought about translating bestsellers into my primary language, as I believe making certain books more accessible is a wonderful thing. However, translation costs are quite high, and one must be sure they can sell a significant number of books just to break even. AI might change this.

Has anyone used Claude paid version from Anthropic? Is it better or worse than ChatGPT 4 paid version?

Did anyone notice a substantial decline in quality of chatgpt responses?

I realised I use it less and less now due to absolute garbage pronounced by the system with absolute confidence. And when you point it out, it says "You are right".

The only use case left is when you know 70% of the answer and want to fill the rest quickly.

Thinking of cancelling subscription as it doesn't worth the money.

Claude 3 Opus is substantially better than ChatGPT4.

I made the switch after reading this article: ChatGPT4 Finally Dethroned? Why Claude 3 Matters.

It communicates with less fluff. It can sift through large quantities of data, and has a much longer context window in conversation.

Still has similar types of limitiations.

I would consider this an incremental improvement over ChatGPT4. It's not an order of magnitude better.

Google Gemini 1.5 likely better than Claude, based on early reports but I don't have access yet.

In any case, ChatGPT5 may set a new baseline if/when that comes out this year.

This stuff is getting better quick.

Yes, same here. At this point 4 feels like 3.5. Might as well be free. All the replies seem to sound like business bloggers with no experience.

Yes, and it still fails to follow instructions.

Claude 3 Opus is substantially better than ChatGPT4.

I just got a subscription to both and will report back on my findings.

Thus far, I haven't noticed much differences.

Signed up for Claude 3 Opus a couple days ago and they seem very similar to me. GPT-4 is definitely better at copywriting. Opus seems to offer slightly more unique responses.

Also, I realized something kinda scary. You remember when smart phones became common and you started using a calculator for simple math? The calculator on your smart phone replaced the need to do math. AI is basically a calculator for thinking/words. That's neat a terrifying.
