CHAPTER VI: GLORIOUS RAIN
“Age wrinkles the body; quitting wrinkles the soul.” ― Douglas MacArthur
Glorious Rain.jpg
There is something about the rain that makes me feel calm. Personally, I can't imagine a life without the rain and the cloudy days; the only objects I feel missing are the lovely pine trees. This is my perfect personal depiction of Heaven on Earth.

3. July Vs. August (Inputs & Outputs)
July's Input & Output:
8h of Fastlane = $116
115h of Bussing = $2,001

August's Input & Output
5h of Fastlane = $100
156h at Work = $2,943

Part II: August's Highlights

I received a job promotion because the guy/friend who recommended me left in the last week of August, and I kindly accepted the promotion. Therefore, I now work more hours than usual.

In addition, looking back at the past helped me discover the reason for my sluggishness. My conclusion is that I love NYC very dearly. It gave me the best days of my life during my childhood before my life went downhill in puberty.

Although I know it's already in the past, my present self might still be attached to those far memories. Consequently, just last Sunday, I visited the street where I used to live as a kid, as I do a few times every year, and I don't have any words to describe the sorrow I felt that lonely night after work at 2 am, especially after July's emotional rollercoaster.

This can explain the reason why I might not want to make any massive progress that can get me closer to my dream state. I hate to say it, but it needs to be said. Since I got here alone 3 years ago, I fell into the trap of building a somewhat comfortable place with things to ease the pain I experienced in my parent's hometown.

However, I can't let any brick wall stop me in this maze. Moving on, I self-destructed my blog with its 100+ articles and 2 spreadsheets that weren't producing any favorable results. I'm currently readjusting depending on the results of September in case more self-destruction is needed and adopted a new strategy to implement.

To end with this monthly update, I also uncovered another truth about myself that I wasn't able to see up until a few days ago. I'm still hesitant if I should talk about it in the next monthly update or not. Whatever the case, I wish y'all an excellent month.

Part III: Setbacks/ Mistakes

  • Almost had a relapse with my past darkness.

Part IV: Counterpunches/ Accomplishments

1. BELIEF
  • 34% Completion of Atomic Habits by James Clear on Kindle
  • 85m of Elevate
Screenshot_20220902-093426_2.pngScreenshot_20220902-093417_2.png

2. MEANING & PURPOSE

  • 1h 15m

3. KINETIC EXECUTION

  • 6h of soft execution
  • 4h & 32m of hard execution

4. DISCIPLINE

  • 450 Push-ups for August

Part V: The Future

I bet I seem fine.

In addition, I only do or say what I think will work or currently works for me or where I personally lack; the monthly updates are primarily based on how I choose to respond to whatever this game called life decides to throw at me personally (actual real-life events).
