Today is my Birthday and when friends and family asked what I was doing I informed them that I was heading to the office to finish up some work and, I got all kinds of gasps.

I heard comments ranging from "Why, It's your day and your supposed to enjoy it?" to "Come on now this is supposed to be a stress free day." I get that.

But as I think about it, I am working only a few hours partly because I have some billing that needs to be submitted and ...well, hell I just enjoy the energy that comes from stepping into a business I created from a thought. And I must say that this last week has been a milestone breaking week for the company and it's second office. So yeah for the past week it has felt very good to have the phone ringing off of the hook with new clients seeking our services. Honestly I haven't unwrapped too many b-day presents that gave me that kind of natural high.

I have skydived for my bday, bought a motorcycle on another, flown, and will whitewater raft next week hopefully. But I still love what I do for a living and the natural high I get every time my office phone rings. That's just me.:coco:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I get the same feeling now, the general slowlaner is fixed on monetary items to "gift" on their bday.

I agree 100%, and a few days ago when my birthday came around, I did the same thing.

I haven't taken my birthday seriously for a long time. A lot of my friends have somehow not found out about it.
