I’ve been off the forum for a long minute. Life went sideways, then stabilized, then I started building again. Now I’m back because I’ve been working on something that I think plugs into a problem a lot of people here complain about without ever really naming it.
Here’s the short version:
We talk a lot about traffic, leads, conversions, funnels, ads, and whatever the latest hustle-channel-of-the-week is. But underneath all of that is something nobody really models: attention as a tradable asset with its own volatility, decay, drift, and price.
Most people treat attention like weather. It rains, or it doesn’t. It hits, or it flops. The algorithm loves you, or it ghosts you.
I don’t buy that.
I've been working on a framework for treating attention like a real market — not metaphors, not woo-woo — but something you can quantify, measure, predict the drift of, hedge against, and dominate if you understand its microstructure.
A few quick principles behind it:
Attention ≠ Intent. Attention is the raw material. Intent is what becomes money. People keep blending them, and that's why their systems break.
Every channel (Fastlane forum, TikTok, Google Ads, YouTube, newsletters, etc.) behaves like its own market: slow volatility, high volatility, mean-reverting, stochastic, seasonal, clustered, fat-tailed — you name it.
You can calculate Delta (sensitivity), Gamma (acceleration), Theta (decay), Charm (decay of decay), and get something that actually predicts whether your content, ads, or posts should be scaled, paused, hedged, or replaced.
Most influencers and marketers are flying blind. Not dumb — just unequipped. They’re trading derivatives without ever seeing the underlying asset.
My goal here isn’t to sell anything. I’m rebuilding, re-learning the forum culture, and getting my hands dirty again.
What I want right now is simple: I’d like to test this framework publicly with real operators here — the builders, the marketers, the ecom folks, the SaaS people — and stress-test it in the wild. If it’s garbage, it’ll fail fast. If it’s useful, the forum will tell me.
If you’ve ever felt like your funnels are drifting and you can’t tell why, your traffic spikes randomly and you can't repeat it, you burn ad spend without knowing the actual decay curve, your audience behaves like they’re half-asleep, or your content hits one day and dies the next — then this might be something worth poking at.
I’m not promising a magic button. Just a different lens — and maybe something we can sharpen together.
If any of this sounds interesting, I’ll start dropping pieces in the thread and see where it goes.
— me
(and yes, I work with ChatGPT extensively — it’s basically my lab assistant at this point)
