You want to be rich?

Be realistic. Nobody gets rich. Rich people were born that way. You weren’t. The system is stacked against you and the American dream doesn’t exist.

You think one day you’ll have a nice car and a nice house? Get real. The rich people only sold you that dream so you’d keep their taxes low.

You should give up on the dream and accept commun..I mean socialism. The rich only exploit, and you will never be one of them. Even if you start a business it will never work. Almost all businesses fail anyways. Yours is no exception.

End satire.

I hate these loser F*cks. They project their own failures and insecurities and convince people to stay down and be a piece of shit with them.

My family is very normal. My dad was an electrician. My mom was an accountant. I got a 2.8 gpa, went to community college and dropped out.

I am 25 and we just hit 50k a month. Its nothing special as of yet but we have doubled every year and I will continue doubling the company every year. I have never missed a revenue goal and the next one is 100k/mo minimum next year.

Don’t listen for half a second to these F*cking losers. They are wrong. Shut them out and stay focused on your goal. People get rich every day and not from luck, daddy’s money, or being friends with the already rich and powerful. People say that’s a fault of America, our mindset. They think the fact we don’t just lie down and accept being pieces of shit is a negative thing. They couldn’t be more wrong, that attitude is what makes america great and what makes them F*cking losers.

When I had negative money in my bank account and was living at home with my parents, I knew for a fact that I was just a temporarily embarrassed millionaire. I knew the people who talked shit were just losers. You couldn’t tell me a thing. But some people might not have the same confidence as I had.

Don’t let these depressed, insecure, miserable communists try to F*ck with your head. Let them type away on reddit. And when you can finally go buy that lambo, remember how they tried to shake your confidence when you were at your lowest. F*ck them. Let it put a chip on your shoulder.

The problem with the intellectual left is that they don’t care about the poor and probably hate the popular culture that glorify the rich, whereas in their point of view society should worship ivory tower academics or smart and eloquent intellectuals such as Chomsky.

Rich people rarely joke about poor people. But smart people (book smart not money smart) crack jokes about dumb people at least on weekly basis.

The subtext of laughing the average person as “temporarily embarrassed millionaire”, was that you are stupid, and I am smart.

Book smart people hate rich people, because they as A+ grad students hate to live a world that worship B grade students in school who made more money.

But this old sentiment is changing as we are moving to a world where most billionaires are geeks and academic high performers. And hence less hatred from them.

I don't know why for some reason, those types of people started to pop out more and more. I probably grew a locus for it.

They are everywhere!!!

I am tired of all this negative propaganda, and sorry for those at the beggining who are just starting out with a dream, only to hit a bump in the road, and after 2 swipes, some of theese commun..I mean socialists to appear, and end the dream once and for all. This thing is commonly seen in business/entrepreneurship related content, no matter in reality or on the internet. They are everywhere, and the only solution is to ignore them.

We are all embarrassed millionaires at the beggining, that's how it was and will always be.

Thank you Johnny for this great reminder. We must never forget our purpose in life. Their purpose is not mine.

Socialism never took root in America because the socialists stayed in other countries and the capitalists came to the U.S.

I remember reading The Millionaire Next Door. Most millionaires inherit very little or nothing from parents to add to the wealth they built for themselves. Most of the decamillionaires make their money from businesses.

Part of the problem is that people see stats like "90% of businesses fail in 5 years" and take it at face value. It's not like you could do a good job of choosing an industry/niche, location, employees, systems, education, and mentors to improve your chances drastically.

That's too much work though. Better to whine about how it's too hard and unfair.

That statistic is stupid anyways.

Nobody has polled me asking if my business was successful yet.

Many ‘businesses’ are actually holding companies for assets.

Many businesses create ‘losses’ on paper for tax purposes.

Basically all of these businesses are private companies that have zero public financial information.

It’s quite unfortunate to that some people are so negative that they’ll take a warm crap all over your dreams. Those who don’t believe in others likely don’t believe in themselves. Those who hate on others, usually hate on themselves. In the end, they cause their own suffering. Avoid negative people at all costs of possible, because that shits infectious. Surrounding yourself in group of people you admire and want to be like is a great remedy. Which is why this community is so powerful.

Is $50K/mo rich? :eyes:

A couple of days ago I spoke of similar numbers to a real estate developer from Miami and he told me “What? $50K/mo?!” He said he’d commit suicide if he made anything less than $50K per DAY in profit  Then he laughed in my face and told me to get away from him because poverty is contagious.

I think our standards are too low. 90% of people on the forum think if they made $10K/month they’d be rich. That’s still dead broke imo. I know that when I had an agency when I was making $10K/mo I was dead broke. It was only at around $18K/mo profit that I felt I had a solid foundation.

50k a day is 18m a year. For 18m a year profit, we make about 70k profit per crew, or 35k per crew at a franchise that we are splitting ownership of. That’s 514 crews at franchises for me to make 18m a year. Only 43k customers. That’s hardly any at all. After a few years we can get a location to around 6-8 crews. So that would be 73 locations.

I just need to convince 73 people to open franchises with us and grow those locations to 6-8 crews over a few years.

I am not rich. I am on my way and doubling every year. Should be my 30th birthday when we hit those numbers. How old is your baller real estate friend?

He is 34, got started in real estate at 27. My point here is that 18M/yr in 10 years is way too slow. Successful people like us should think bigger. How can I be a billionaire in 10 years? Some wealth vehicles are way too slow imo... most physical labor businesses are like that. It will take you ages to become a billionaire (the upside of that is that they are easier to start and grow successfully).

In my current business, to scale to 50M/year, I just need to add salespeople. The fulfilment is pretty much taken care of - and this is where most of my attention goes to make sure it's top-notch. I still have to iron out a few kinks in fulfilment, but from there on, it will be just sales sales sales. In lawn care, for example, the big thing isn't just adding customers, but having the vehicles and crews to ensure fulfillment. Whenever you have to rely on flesh and bone people in your business, that is a massive slow-down. That's why nowdays the biggest businesses are all in software and media. When you have software and/or media doing the fulfilment, you have in-built scale. No adding crews, no managing, no nagging Karens. Easy to scale, because literarily all you need to do is sell more.

I know a software company here, they went from making $200K/year about 7 years ago, to being worth $36 billion today. My cousin works there actually. That is real big-a$$ growth.

The fact that these people know that they could become millionaires under this system they just haven’t done it yet proves it’s good.

Under socialism/communism everyone knows they have 0 chance of becoming rich.

In my view capitalism is just the state of nature pretty much. Create value and trade with others so everyone minimizes their opportunity costs, and a bigger pie naturally grows for everyone. Even the poor of today do better than the poor of 300 years ago.

I think people like socialism/communism not because they think they can't become rich, but rather because they don't want to put in the work required to become rich, and therefore envy those who do.

But imo becoming rich isn't the end all, be all. Some endeavours are worth doing, but unlikely to reward you except in the very long term. For example, that's the situation with most artists. They slave away for many years, and many times they only get the recognition they deserve after they pass away. Does this mean that they shouldn't pursue art? Imo, no.

No it is not.
18M / year is orders of magnitude more than most people will ever achieve.
18M / year is all the money you will ever need to have complete freedom in your life.

Why would you want to be a billionaire? What is so magic about that number?

When you put a focus on “how much is enough” it messes with the mindset required to make even $1 million. Your post suggests freedom is the only thing that matters. I would argue good work matters.

Business is my art. Are you going to ask an artist when he’s painted enough? Are you going to ask an architect when he’s designed enough? Are you going to ask a radio show host when he’s talked enough? A writer when he’s written enough?

What if Steve Jobs, Elon Musk or Henry Ford just decided to say screw it at $18 million? I’m sure glad they didn’t. They were all very comfortable at a certain point, but were capable of more so did more. Some may call it greedy, but it’s the opposite of greed. If all I cared about was freedom from a job, I’d just retire now, bid farewell to entrepreneurship and just take up space. Many here are glad I haven’t.

Here’s another bombshell for you. MJ didn’t have to start this forum or write four books… But he did.

I actually came here specifically to read your post because I usually enjoy your postings. I feel you are quite off base here.

Why judge business in term of “monthly profit” like a job?

A developer typically has such a high financial leverage that could literally drive him suicide when macroeconomics turns very bad.

Slower to scale also means less competition from the smart and brightest with vc money.

Everyone is interested in disrupting and getting rid of human drivers but not physical skilled labor like carpenter, plumber..

However when I've said that 18M / year is plenty, I wasn't saying that this should be the goal. I was responding to this:
My point here is that 18M/yr in 10 years is way too slow. Successful people like us should think bigger. How can I be a billionaire in 10 years?

18M/ year is plenty of money to cover all the expenses you may have and give you absolute freedom. It doesn't matter how you look at it, it's just a huge pile of money.

Which means that once you get to this level, money is no longer a problem, so you can focus on actually doing great things.

Wanting to be a billionaire for the sake of being called a billionaire is a stupid goal.
Most billionaires never had the ambition of becoming a billionaire. It happened as a side-effect of living their insanely productive and well organized life.

What would you judge it by?
More factors like financial leverage (debt), margin (operating leverage), barrier to entry, vulnerability factors like supplier disruption and ease of scalability.

Nothing is certain in business. Unless you have sold your business technically you are still on the gambling table.

Unless you are debt free, light asset with little reinvestment, then you can comfortably say profits are money made. But usually they don't grow fast.

Rental profit of 50k a day for a developer just means that the size of the assets managed are huge. It doesn’t mean that his current business model is good. It most likely mean that he has amassed a fortune to be this big or he has borrowed a hell lot of money from banks. (Likely to be both in that industry).

How does he make $50k per day in profit as a real estate developer? If I understand it correctly, the guy builds new buildings? If so, he's probably incredibly leveraged and his $50k/day is far from guaranteed if he doesn't sell his buildings. And he definitely doesn't get paid daily or even weekly or maybe even monthly (except for his salary if he has one). Unless I'm wrong?

I don’t know if or how much he’s leveraged, but he makes that average per day. Some of it is rent, others are sales of units, but it averages to around that.

To be honest, this sounds like @Kak 's country club braggart.
Well I have no clue, he stopped talking to me . Those living in Miami tend to be a different breed.

(Don’t get me wrong, I admire his high standards and the fact he’s pushing himself and trying to push others too, but I dislike the approach of laughing people off and not speaking to them when they don’t make $50K/day lol)

F*ck them. Let it put a chip on your shoulder.

your posts alone justify having a membership on this forum

Damn, I thought he was joking. What a dick.

Maybe this will sound harsh but the guy needs life to F*ck him in the a$$ so that he can learn humility. I'd rather hang out with a broke but humble and respectful guy than a rich a**hole like this guy. I pity people who need to work with him.
