Same things happen in just about every industry. I think there's 2-3 threads on instagram on the main threads right now- all the focus is on marketing on the platform without filling gaps... and on top of that 1-2 years after people filled those gaps. Doing things like this before it's hot is the time to capitalize if you're going to use marketing hacks. Not after.
People can make money with any platform just grinding out marketing hacks, but if money is the goal, that kind of money works more as a distraction from working on something that would bring real money. Plus thinking is not improved if just following hack x, y or z after popularized. Therefore, the likelihood to remain in similar spot in the future is high.
